Things have been a little crazy around here! 🍂🎃 Wrapping up football season, preparing for an end-of-summer/fall graduation celebration, getting into the spooky spirit and preparing for our daughter's next big step at Children's Hospital. 🫶

I'm excited for the last of our fall expeditions, festivals and products, and then it's time to start prepackaging Christmas orders! 🎄🎁

Football, graduation, Halloween, hospital appointments and Christmas preparations all at once. Because apparently we don't know how to do anything one season at a time around here! 😂🫶

Lesson learned: I just waged WAR with arrowroot. 😂 Long, messy and WAY more involved than anticipated. Needless to say, next time I'm making FIVE GALLONS!

But our trial batches are FINALLY ready! 🙌

We don't sell anything until we've tested it ourselves and know we're happy with it. Luckily, football season + steel-toe season = plenty of sweaty, stinky test subjects. 😂

Yesterday was a difficult day. Our family doctor of many many years retired. Tears were shed, hugs were had and hands were held on the way out. To show our immeasurable amount of thanks and gratitude we brought her a basket of our most favorite items we create here at Wild-n-Wander along with a baby Aloe plant.

Mrs. Iris is the reason our daughter Jersey has hope. She is the reason Jersey was referred to the amazing Children's Hospital and the world renowned Specialist she is seeing soon. We are so incredibly blessed. She saw our kiddos when they were itty bitty and now our youngest just graduated. She witnessed some of Jersey's first "polka dots". She paved the way for her testing and what eventually led us to start Wild-n-Wander.

Her shoes will be most difficult to fill but she promised that now she is retired she will come visit often and find us at her local Farmers Market. We are forever in debt for her services. Per the circumstances we have never had a babysitter for our children only a select few family members and friends. The unknown with Jersey is scary. Putting our daughters and family's lives in her hands was not an easy decision. She handled it with grace, confidence and tough love. Exactly what I, mom, needed. She will be missed and thought about in every stir, mix, pour, sprinkle and sale.

Thank you Iris for everything you have done for us, through all the years. But most of all, Thank you for saving our daughters life. You will be greatly missed.

It was definitely the Spidey-Senses🕷️🕸️ that caused smiles to become contagious. If only they helped the littles to sit a tad more still during transformation. 😉 However that's impossible when cupcakes are involved at Grandma Helen's birthday party. 🎂

🌿✨ A busy weekend at Wild-n-Wander… just the way we like it. ✨🌿

Around here, busy usually means the tables are covered, somebody has an idea, somebody else says “Ooooh, what if we…” and before we know it, we've created three more projects than we started with. 😂💚

🎨 Today is a create-and-wander kind of day.
We're putting our imaginations to work designing and creating new signs for our market tents and displays, while also beginning the bases for our brand-new Wild-n-Wander Fall Collection. 🍂🌻 There's just something about fall that makes the creative wheels turn a little faster, and we can't wait to show you what's growing in the workshop!

⛪🎨 Sunday we're trading the workshop for paintbrushes as we head out to paint lots of smiling little faces at a local church picnic—for the third year! 🥰 Being invited back year after year is something we truly treasure.

🐝 Somewhere in between, I'm hoping to wander over to our local beekeeper and bring home some of her divine beeswax for a few things we're dreaming up in the workshop. There's something extra special about knowing an ingredient came from bees right here in our own community. 🍯💛

And then we'll finish the weekend in one of our favorite ways—gathered with family and friends, celebrating my mom's birthday. 🫶 The woman who continues to show up, cheer us on, support our crazy ideas and stand behind all of us through every adventure.

Not all who wander are lost.

When my kids have mozzarella sticks they look for something called "the cheese pull". That and of course flavor is how they grade the quality of their order.

Now when it comes to slime, aside from removing the toxins like borax the goal is to make it a parents dream and not a nightmare. Meaning it is not the kind that will result in ruining your carpet, couch or clothing.

But most importantly it's kid tested. It has a perfect quality, smell, texture and of course "slime pull". Here at Wild-n-Wander we have a very qualified staff of creators, testors, inspectors, and control operators. They review products for days and weeks not just during creating day.

Here at Wild-n-Wander all things are put into consideration when creating. When it comes to our slime the "SLIME PULL" is in the top 3.

*This one shown is to Mimi's Chocolate chip cookie dough however if you look closely the chocolate chips are actually footballs. Add your favorite team's colors and you are ready for the season. Stress relief in hand. 😉
