We are looking for donations and sponsorships from local businesses and folks for our next two events coming up, which would be a poker ride in August and a masked ball in October. We wonder if you and/or your business would be willing to sponsor us or to donate some type of gift or gift basket that we can raffle off or auction off to raise funds for our scholarship. We just gave out our first $7500 worth of scholarships this year and we hope to do it again next spring. We would love to even open it up to all the kids in Dallas County eventually, if we can raise enough money.

If you are willing to be a sponsor, there are different levels:

Gold-$300+
Silver-$200
Bronze-$100
Black-$50
Red-$25

All sponsors will be mentioned at each event and will also receive recognition on all banners, cards, and any type of media we put out. We will also throw in two tickets to our masquerade ball ($100 value) for sponsorships over $200.

If a sponsorship is not for you, but you are willing to make a donation of a prize for our silent auction or raffle. Please let us know and someone can stop by and pick it up.

Please join us on Saturday, August 29th for the 2nd annual Caelen Peterson Memorial Poker Run. This run raises scholarship funds for those going on to be a mental health practitioner or into the trade fields. Caelen’s light was snuffed too soon. After being bullied in combination with mental health issues, he felt like he had no other choice. He stood in the main intersection of town and took his life. He was 14. His parents, both Army Veterans, are fighting to make sure this doesn’t happen to someone else’s child!

We’re going to have so much fun on this year’s ride! We’ll be giving away door prizes at each stop and will finish with a live band and food truck at the Good ol’ Corner Tap. Total loop runs approximately 111 miles around Dallas/Guthrie County.

We hope you’ll consider joining us. If you know you plan to, give us a heads up so we can make sure there’s plenty of food and drink for all!

WE WILL NOT GIVE UP!!

Hello! It’s been a minute since we last checked in and wanted to share some updates and ask for your help.

Our scholarship winners were all awarded their scholarships and I’ve never met more genuine and sincere young people who are passionate about what they want to do. We had a great first round of scholarship giveaways!

Now it’s time to ask for help again. We are looking for the following support for our fundraisers so that every penny we raise can go towards our students. You can support in the following ways:

Sponsorships: there are five levels-Gold sponsor ($300), silver sponsor ($200), bronze sponsor ($100), red sponsor ($50), black sponsor ($25). Of course you can always donate more but those our levels. Your name/business name will appear on all of our event promotions and we will honor with a plaque of gratitude as well as free tickets to our masquerade ball. Sponsors can donate via Venmo at or any Lincoln Savings Bank branch under the Memorial fund. PLEASE make sure to put “sponsor” in the memo line.

Volunteers: we need help running our poker run on Saturday August 29th. We’ll need people to register, to direct, to set up at each stop with cards, people to help manage final stop. If you can spare a few hours please let us know and we will sign you up.

We will also need volunteers to help with our masquerade ball on Saturday October 24th. We’ll need security, bartenders, decorators, folks to help set up and tear down, people to help us procure prizes for our silent auction. If interested we will give free tickets in exchange.

We need prizes for our silent auction! If you or you and friends would like to put together a nice gift basket or go in on a cool bit to auction off, please let us know!

Last, if you can share our flyers by sharing on your personal page and printing them off and hanging them up around your area. The more word we spread the more money we raise. The more money we raise, the more kids we can help move forward in life.
