Great body news --- It doesn't have to be kale & spinach! Citrulline is the key. Watermelon (π and even in the rind!) is the best!!!!
Citrulline converts into Arginine which converts to Nitric Oxide.
Why do we care about nitric oxide? It's a vasodilator that opens up the arteries and it allows more blood to flow to get to the heart, the brain, all the organs and cells of our body. There are these common foods, which we already love π
Watermelon has the highest amount of citrulline even the rind of watermelon. The conversion to nitric oxide, opening up and vasodilating the arteries, lowering blood pressure, allowing the cells to get the oxygen to stay healthy. So keep eating those fruits. Your body will love it.
1. Watermelon (even the rind!) π
2. Squash
3. Pumpkin π
4. Cucumber π₯
5. Melon π
The conversion happens in a few key steps:
Step 1: Citrulline to Arginine: When you consume L-citrulline, it travels through the bloodstream to the kidneys, where enzymes efficiently convert it into L-arginine.
Step 2: Arginine to Nitric Oxide: The newly formed L-arginine is then used by the body's nitric oxide synthase (NOS) enzymes to produce nitric oxide.
