Coils for the Kingdom

Coils for the Kingdom was first created out of pure love for my daughter. She has natural hair and the products I was purchasing often left her hair dry and sensitive scalp irritated. I began researching different all natural ways to give her hair and scalp the nutrients it needed. Since 2014 I have been making her conditioners and using all natural ways to clean her hair and scalp. Her hair growth took off and continues to grow strong and healthy. Then my daughter threw me a curve ball. It was pure innocence yet her question/statement hit me profoundly. “Why can’t I have straight hair like you? I don’t like my curly hair.” My child did not like the way she looked as she was created. I had to ask myself, “What kind of standard had I set?” I struggled with the idea of “The chop” for months! January 1, 2016. I did it! I cut 7 inches of my relaxed hair down to less than an inch. Very quickly I realized that my daughter’s texture was very different than my own. She is a 4a/4b. I am a 4c in the front and a 4a in the back. More research into how to treat my hair began. For six months between my protective styles I treated my hair and scalp with recipes that I had developed for my family. I now want to make it my mission to do what I have done for my daughter. I want my people to love their hair! Coils for the Kingdom is for Locs, Coils, Fros, Transitioners and Relaxed hair alike, I want all my people to love their Coils.
