Savvy Fair Founder Lauren Christy developed these products to relieve her own pain, and now she's sharing it with the world. Here's her story in her words:
"I was born with spinal stenosis, and according to the Mayo Clinic, this 'can put pressure on your spinal cord and the nerves that travel through the spine to your arms and legs.' It may cause numbing, pins-and-needles or pain. In my case, it hurts like hell. I became a medical cannabis patient in 2010, and I found that for me, smoking or eating cannabis products doesn’t soothe pain; I just get high and fall asleep. That can be a good thing, but it wasn’t what I was seeking. When I learned that one of the natural properties of CBD is that it is analgesic, I did some research and experimented around to find an extraction process, threw in a bit of beeswax, and a salve was born. A bit more research, and I discovered that adding other botanicals increase relief, either by stimulating the blood to reduce inflammation - swollen joints, to you and me - or to relax muscles. I have had a running prescription for Vicodin for years to make my aching back calm down, and these products do the same without causing harm to the liver or inviting addiction problems. Even better news is that CBD products meant to be used topically have been legal since October 2001! I was encouraged to share with everyone, and here we are.
