Progress is looking incredible at Concordia University Irvine!
We're putting the finishing touches on the new CU Center for Worship and the Performing Arts as we prepare to turn it over to the university next month—just in time for its first church service in August. The transformed space will feature expanded seating, enhanced acoustics, state-of-the-art technology, and a renewed gathering place at the heart of campus.
A short walk away, the new Golden Eagles Athletic Complex is also making great progress and remains on track for completion before the start of the 2026–27 school year. Together, these projects are bringing Concordia's Vision 2025 to life by creating inspiring spaces for worship, learning, athletics, and community.
We’re proud to be part of this exciting transformation and can’t wait to see students, faculty, and the campus community enjoy these new spaces!

What a week for our C.W. Driver interns!
Seventeen interns had the opportunity to step into the field and expand their construction knowledge through two jobsite walks at Long Beach Poly High School and Long Beach Jordan High School. These experiences gave them a closer look at active projects, encouraged thoughtful questions, and helped connect what they are learning to the work happening in the field every day.
Afterward, the group headed to Topgolf to unwind, strengthen relationships, and enjoy some friendly competition. The following day, they put teamwork into action by participating in a Habitat for Humanity build in Altadena, where they assisted with siding, painting, and other exterior construction work on a local home.
We are incredibly proud of the curiosity, collaboration, and commitment our interns demonstrated throughout the week. At C.W. Driver, we believe building goes beyond the projects we deliver—it also means investing in future industry leaders, creating strong teams, and giving back to the communities we serve.

The best projects start by listening.
Over the past couple of months, our team joined San Diego Mesa College, the Measure HH team, coaches, faculty, and campus operations staff for a series of collaborative focus group sessions to help shape the future Athletic Complex.
From locker room layouts and equipment storage to turf selections, meeting spaces, and day-to-day operations, every conversation centered on creating a facility that works as well as it looks. By bringing the voices of the people who will use the complex every day into the planning process, we're building more than an athletic facility. We're building a space designed around the needs of Mesa College's student-athletes, coaches, and campus community.

Construction continues to make strong progress at the CSU Dominguez Hills Health, Wellness, and Recreation Center.
The project recently reached an exciting milestone with permanent power now in place, lighting activated, and HVAC systems up and running. Interior finishes, including casework, flooring, final paint, and MEPF trim, are moving forward, while exterior improvements continue with utility work, site grading, and new sidewalks taking shape.

Big congratulations to Marybelle De La Cruz, the recipient of the 2026 C.W. Driver Scholarship from our Summer Internship Program!
A sophomore at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying Architecture with minors in Construction Management and Real Property Development, Marybelle has already built an impressive foundation through internships, leadership, and a clear commitment to her education. As a second-generation college student, she works multiple jobs to finance her education while pursuing her dream of becoming a licensed architect and construction manager.
This summer, Marybelle is gaining hands-on experience on our Long Beach USD - Long Beach Poly High School, CTE Classroom Building project, and we're proud to support her journey in higher education.

Congratulations to our partners at Gensler on being recognized by Fast Company as the #1 company in Urban Development and Real Estate on its 2026 World’s Most Innovative Companies list for their work on the Palisades Charter High School Temporary Campus.
C.W. Driver is proud to have partnered with Gensler to deliver a fully functioning temporary campus for more than 2,500 students in just 30 days after the 2025 wildfires displaced the school community. Together, we reimagined schedules, delivery methods, and collaboration to create a safe, welcoming learning environment when it was needed most.
