Summertime means being outdoors and with that comes the summer sun and the need to protect your skin from the harsh rays. I have in stock, sunscreen with an SPF equivalent of 30 made of only 4 ingredients unlike that of regular sunscreen which has upwards of 13 ingredients of which most all you cannot pronounce nor do you have any idea what they are doing to your skin/body. Your skin is the largest organ on your body and sometimes we do not always treat it as we should, I didn’t for years.
My sunscreen has non-nano zinc oxide in it which is so much safer for the skin because it doesn’t pe*****te the skin, it only reflects and scatters the harmful UV rays while providing a physical barrier from the sun. Non-nano zinc oxide is safer for the ocean, the reefs and wildlife as well because they do not dissolve in seawater.
I use 💯 grass fed beef tallow as my base, an organic carrier oil, such as coconut or jojoba oil and for an extra touch, I add lemongrass essential oil for a perfect scent. Lemongrass, unlike a citrus based essential oil will not cause you to sunburn.
As with any product, if you are fairer skinned, or have skin issues you may need to reapply more often or if in the water you would need to as well. And as with any product, use your own judgement when using any product and if you have any issues or concerns discontinue the use of the sunscreen.

I am working on a couple of summer tallows and this is one of them, magnolia. I will offer this in both whipped and balm as well as a chapstick. In honor of my Kirsten, this one will be called “Forever My Girl” Magnolia essential oil infused tallow.
She named the creek near our house, “Magnolia Springs” so when I decided for Magnolia to be one of my summer scents, that it needed a sweet name! I think my best girl would approve!

Just in time for your outdoor activities…sunscreen! All natural tallow, organic coconut oil, beeswax, non-nano zinc oxide and a hint of lavender essential oil has made a wonderful addition to our tallow line! This when applied every 2 hours, or after water activity, is supposed to give you an SPF of 30.
