Hair Transformation: How I Achieved these beautiful curls

Here’s a little breakdown of I Changed to get these stunning curls, from May 2025 to March 2026

1. Product Selection

Shampoo & Conditioner: Switched to a curl-friendly duo that hydrates and repairs damage without weighing my hair down. My ultimate fav amika: Hydro Rush
Bond Builder ( but don’t over do it ) to help build your elasticity back. I’ve gone back and forth between number 6 from Olaplex or molecular repair mask from
Heat Protection!!!! Use a heat protecter Always, if you use any heat between washings you’re going to want to have it on your hair already. Always recommending the wizard Amika pro
Gel of any kind ! Added a curl-defining gel for hold and frizz control while locking in the curl pattern. I’m always using Soft Defying Gel - Cream by Ouidad

2. Washing Technique

Product Lover?: Clarifying Shampoo!!! Your styling products won’t work if there’s buildup on your hair Period.
Scalp Health: if your hair has an odor or your scalp is itchy and you love dry shampoo, you need to help break that build up down prior to washing. Amika reset pink charcoal scalp cleansing oil 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

3. Styling Routine

Sectioning: Divided hair into small sections to ensure each curl was treated and defined
Curl Clumping: Raked and smoothed products
formation. Use enough water.

4. Drying Technique

Microfiber Towel: Used a microfiber towel or t-shirt to gently scrunch out excess water, reducing frizz.
Diffusing: Hover around your head for length, scoop your hair for definition.

5. Finishing Touches

Scrunching Out the Crunch: if you use a hard casting gel, not for me but this isn’t a one size fits all situation ! Once dry, scrunched out the gel cast to reveal soft, bouncy curls.
Shine & Frizz Control: Applied a lightweight serum or oil to smooth flyaways and add a glossy finish.

6. Maintenance

Silk Everything: Pillow Case, Silk Scrunchies, Bonnet. Less Friction, and Low Tension is the name of the game
Regular Trims: if your ends curl like a wet noodle your past due for a trim girl.
Pineapple Pony: really does help me with my curls. Plop your hair on top of your head and don’t double wrap your scrunchie if your hair is thick enough.

Fresh S**g and Shiny Hair Loading... not only is the cut important when it comes to the final outcome, but prep is just as important. Build up is the number one factor for lifeless dull hair. Did a double cleanse with Undo Goo, final wash with Amika pro with the frizz shampoo, and conditioner sealed the deal with the Kure treatment. Styled with my go two trio, and encouraged the natural wave with Ouidad Gel Curl Cream.
