She tried our Body Butter as a sample Saturday morning at Art in the Park, just to see. Hours later, she came back to the booth just to tell me how soft her skin still felt. She walked away with the Body Butter and our entire face care kit. This is why I do markets. You can’t fake this kind of reaction 🤍

I started this brand from one room and a table in my house, trying to make something gentle enough for my own kids. I never imagined it would turn into strangers becoming customers, customers becoming friends, and friends showing up just because. This weekend reminded me that Blue Lilac was never really a solo project, even on the days it feels that way.
To everyone who stopped, tried a sample, shared a story, or just stood with me for a minute thank you. I felt it. All of it 🤍
Here’s to the next one.

This is the part of doing markets solo that nobody really sees. If you waited on me yesterday, thank you 🤍 If you were one of the ones who had to go come find me today, hoping for better luck.

Calendula calms, it’s been used for irritated, damaged skin for centuries. Chamomile does the same, plus it’s naturally soothing for sensitive and reactive skin.
We don’t rush this part. We cold infuse both for two months, slow, no heat, so every bit of what makes these flowers work actually ends up in the oil.
That infused oil is the base of our Arbor and Bloom Body Butter. No fragrance, no shortcuts, just what the flowers give us 🌼

Summer hits different when you’re a mom running a business. My kids are home now, which means my mornings and afternoons belong to them, snacks, puzzles, answering the same question four times, all of it.
Nobody tells you how much mental math goes into this. Which hours are theirs, which hours are mine, how to be fully present for both without feeling like you’re failing either one. Some days I get it right. Some days I’m just doing my best and calling it enough.
But here’s what hasn’t changed - we’re at batch 200-something now, and every single one still gets made with the same care as the very first. Tired or not, that part stays the same.
So if you’re a mom out here stretching yourself across a hundred directions too I see you. We’re figuring it out one season at a time 🤍💙

A guy stopped by my booth today and picked up the Glow Up Serum.
He asked what it does, so I told him niacinamide, plant-derived hyaluronic acid, fermented sea kelp. Cooling, intense hydration, de-puffing, no essential oil, no fragrance. Safe even for sensitive skin.
He bought it. Turns out he was just in town visiting family and happened to walk by the market 🙂
This is exactly why I love doing this in person.

She was my very first customer at Art in the Park, my very first year doing it. My baby was tiny, I didn’t even have a website yet, and I had no idea if any of this would actually work. She said yes to me before anyone else did.
Years later, she’s still ordering, I’m still making everything myself, and Art in the Park is next weekend, except now it’s not a nervous first try, it’s a full restock and a weekend I genuinely can’t wait for.
If you’ve ever bought from me, shared a post, or just rooted for this mom owned brand, swipe through, and thank you. Truly. This one’s for you. 🤍

Many cleansers are labeled gentle because they avoid harsh sulfates, but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re supporting your skin barrier.
Even mild surfactants can strip away the natural oils and lipids your skin needs to stay balanced, especially if your skin is already sensitive, hormonal, dry, or compromised.
That tight feeling after cleansing? It’s not a sign your skin is “clean.” It’s often a sign that your skin barrier is asking for more support.
That’s exactly why we created our Balm-to-Milk Cleanser.
Instead of relying on traditional foaming ingredients, it starts as a nourishing balm that melts away sunscreen, makeup, excess oil, and daily buildup. Add water, and it transforms into a silky milk that rinses clean without leaving your skin feeling stripped.
✨ No tightness
✨ No squeaky-clean feeling
✨ No fighting your skin barrier
Just soft, comfortable, balanced skin that feels cared for from the very first step.
Because cleansing shouldn’t feel like the harshest part of your skincare routine—it should feel like the most nurturing.
Have you ever used a cleanser that left your skin feeling tight afterward?
A year ago at the farmers market, a lovely customer stopped by my booth.
As we were chatting, one of my longtime customers happened to be there too. Before I could even tell her much about the products, she started sharing her own experience and how much she loved using them.
I still remember standing there listening and smiling.
After hearing her story, this customer decided to take home a Glow Up Serum.
About a month later, she came back and purchased the entire skincare routine.
Fast forward one year, and she’s still using Blue Lilac. She recently shared this review:
“My skin has never looked or felt better.”
Moments like this remind me that trust is built person by person, conversation by conversation.
As a small business owner, there is no greater compliment than seeing customers come back year after year and recommend your products to others.
If you’ve ever shared Blue Lilac with a friend, thank you. Your kind words mean more than you know 🤍
