Healing Lotus Zen Shiatsu Therapy
Shiatsu is a form of Asian bodywork using thumb or palm pressure along the act-point meridians. Shiatsu is a form of Asian bodywork.
Its origins are rooted in both Chinese and Japanese medicine. The work is based on balancing, harmonizing and supporting our innate healing process. Our self-healing ability is based on the free flow of our cosmic life force, which is called QI. Day-to-day living can cause a state of dis-ease. Thus obstructing, stagnating or limiting the movement of this vital energy. The Chinese texts say that there are rivers of QI that flow throughout the body, called meridians. Along these channels are acu-points. Shi means finger and Atsu means pressure in Japanese. Gentle finger pressure, usually, thumb pressure or palm pressure, is applied along the meridians to support opening up the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. Shiatsu works on the physical body and opens up the release of obstruction and stagnation of the mental and emotional aspects of being. Shiatsu is very relaxing and balancing for overall well-being, body, mind and spirit. Shiatsu is a fully clothed form of bodywork.

Thank you Cynthia Hajjar for sharing this with me. Such a beautiful message for Lunar New Year. Zen Shiatsu is a practice of recognizing and understanding Changešš¼š§§
The Year of the Fire Horse is approaching, and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Lunar New Year in advance, filled with good fortune and auspiciousness.
In the past few years, many significant events have occurred globally, including wars and pandemics. Many people are enduring hardships, and many are suffering from emotional trauma. Everyone hopes that their lives can improve, become happier, and allow them to live and work in peace.
As someone living in the United States, although the economic data here looks good, the quality of life for people has not improved. On the contrary, the pressure of life is increasing. I believe many people around the world share similar feelings.
With 2026 just around the corner, many forecasters say that the Year of the Fire Horse is a year of global turmoil. To me, this is actually a continuation of the changes in the world following the impact of the pandemic in 2020. Thereās a saying that after major pandemics, the global landscape changes and gets redistributed. There is also a saying in metaphysics: extremes will reverse, meaning that after a cycle of negativity, things will develop positively.
Change is one of my favorite words.
I send this word "change" to everyone, hoping that you can find hope in change, discover your path in change, and achieve happiness through change.
In circumstances without change, seek change to improve your life, and may the changes lead you to better and better outcomes.
Happy Lunar New Year,
Master Zhou Xuan Yun
