When we started planning The Sunless Social, we wanted to create something we felt was missing from our local sunless community. A space for spray tan artists to come together, make real connections, share what we’ve learned, hype each other up, and just have FUN.

Owning a business can feel lonely sometimes. We’re working so hard behind the scenes, building our own brands and really just figuring things out as we go. So looking around the room Saturday night and seeing 26 spray tan artists laughing, exchanging contacts, sharing ideas, and forming genuine friendships was honestly surreal.

That was the whole point. Connection. Community. Collaboration.

I’m so grateful for every artist who walked through those doors, every brand that supported and believed in our vision, and everyone who helped us bring this night to life. You made our very first Sunless Social more special than we could have imagined.

Hi, I’m Nikki ✨ the heart behind Sundazed.

It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself, and there are a lot of new faces here, so hi!!! 🫶🏼

I’m originally from Salt Lake City, went to college in Miami, and somehow found my way to Arlington, VA where I built Sundazed from the ground up.

But there’s a lot more to me than spray tans.

I’m a DV survivor, Reiki Master, sober girly, and Kiki to my niece and nephews. I host a women’s retreat in Puerto Rico with my bestie every February, and creating a spaces where women can connect, pour into themselves and show up exactly as they are is one of my favorite things in the world.

I share my life with Andrew, genuinely the kindest man I’ve ever met. He loves me fully, exactly as I am, and gives me the space to be unapologetically me. 💖

I’m also a very obsessed dog mom to Harper, my brindle girl and one of the greatest loves of my life. If you’ve been in Sundazed, you’ve probably seen her. Andrew painted the portrait of her that hangs in the studio. 🥹🐾💕

I genuinely LOVE life and try to have as much fun with it as possible. I’m happiest with my family, traveling somewhere new, or outside surrounded by nature. But I equally love getting glam, putting on a funky outfit, being a little extra, and finding any reason to celebrate. Basically, I love living life to the fullest and being a silly goose while I do it. ✨

And if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE women. Gassing them up, being their biggest cheerleader, and watching them feel confident and realize just how incredible they are.

And honestly, that’s a huge part of why I love Sundazed so much.

Yes, I spray tan people for a living and absolutely love it, but it’s never just about the tan. It’s the confidence boost, the conversations, the friendships, the community, and getting to hype up women every single day.

Sundazed has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined, while somehow still feeling like the most me thing I could have created.
