Another sharing of the joy that art brings me.. Back in June with the pop up shop, it was the first time I had EVER done anything like this. The words I chose to put on canvas were things that I felt I needed to hear, but honestly I felt women in general need to hear. That we need to say to ourselves. Too many times we feel like we're not enough. They were random but spoke to me. Again, never knowing the impact it would have. A friend from years ago, reached out, told me she wanted this one. I was happy to sell it to her.. Then she proceeds to tell me, "I have brain surgery scheduled and I had to shave my hair and I was worried that people would look at me weird, then I saw your painting and I thought to myself, ok, I can do this". ( In my mind I'm like whaaaaaaatttt?!??!? OMG!!! ) She told me I inspired her, to keep creating my art, that she's not the only one who's life I will touch and make better through my art. Post surgery, she was recovering well, told me she looks at the painting every day and it reminds her that she's stronger than she thought. I cried like a baby. That something so random, just words I chose, affected someone that way. It made me proud of my gift. God blessed others through me and for that gift I'm grateful. Thankful for her permission to allow me to share her story. 😘😘
