Okay, I know it’s only Tuesday… but this week is a little wild over here, so I’m posting this early 😅
I’ll be back at the this Saturday from 8–1 with shelves full of small-batch soaps, balms, and fresh restocks!
And… our tent got a little upgrade this year 👀 Hopefully the new setup makes it easier to spot us from across the market. Come say hi, smell all the soaps, and stock up for summer.
See you Saturday!

It’s starting to feel real over here…
Our first farmers market of the season is next Saturday, May 9th . I am a rotating vendor again this year, mark your calendars so you don’t run out of soap!
There are also a handful of new soaps now live on the website if you want a little first look before market season begins.
If you’re local, I’d love to see you at the market next weekend. If not, everything is available online and ready to ship.

Where to find me (or more like where to find my soaps)…
If you’re new here (or have been following along for a while), here are all the ways to find my soaps beyond Instagram:
My website is always open:
I ship anywhere in the U.S. and also offer local pickup here in the Arvada area.
I also send out a small handful of emails throughout the year; nothing overwhelming, just seasonal updates, restocks, and the occasional special. It’s the best way to stay in the loop if you don’t want to miss something. You can subscribe on my website.
And if you’re local, you can find me in person at the City Park Farmers Market.
My first market is May 9th, and I’ll be there every other weekend through October. There’s nothing better than getting to see (and smell!) everything in person.
Thank you for being here and supporting handmade, it truly means so much.

FAQ: Where do your ingredients come from?
This is one of my favorite questions to answer, because it’s really at the heart of what I do, and why I started making soap.
A lot of the ingredients in my soaps are truly farm-crafted; not just in name, but in practice.
I grow many of my own botanicals. Calendula returns to my garden year after year, and we hand-pick pesticide-free dandelions to infuse in oils. When we had our urban farm, I grew and dried a large amount of lavender that I still use in my soaps today.
The goat milk comes from the beautiful Nubian goats at . Nubians are known for their high butterfat content, which makes their milk especially nourishing for the skin.
The carrots I use are grown by Jamie and Doug at - because somehow, carrots are the one thing I’ve never been able to grow well myself. I’m very thankful they grow plenty!
Fresh cucumbers come from my vendor neighbors, the friendly farmers at .
And the tallow I use is sourced from grass-fed cattle at . I render it myself, and it’s truly exceptional.
I also love connecting with other vendors at to find ingredients that help keep my products seasonal, local, and thoughtfully made.
This is what “farm-crafted” means to me; real ingredients, grown and raised by real people, then carefully crafted by hand.
Where I started → Where I am now 🌄
These landscape soaps have evolved slowly over time—each batch teaching me something new about color, layering, and patience.
From my very first attempt to the bars I’m making now, you can see the changes… the softer lines, the depth, the intention behind each layer.
This is what handmade looks like.
Not perfect. Not static. Always evolving.
And honestly, that’s my favorite part.

One of the biggest challenges for me is balancing all the roles I hold: running a small business, teaching, and being a parent.
There are only so many hours in the day, which means I’ve had to make some hard choices. I can’t do every market. I can’t always say yes to wholesale. And I can’t produce in large quantities all the time.
But here’s the win:
I’ve learned to choose quality over quantity, every single time.
That means smaller batches, local and seasonal ingredients, and making sure each bar meets the standard I set from the very beginning. It also means protecting my time so I can show up fully in the classroom, at home, and in my business.
This season of business might look a little different than others, but it feels right for now… and that’s a win I’m really proud of.

Almost every bar of soap I make carries this little stamp.
It’s easy to overlook, but it’s one of my favorite details.
This design was created by a friend at the very beginning of EJ’s Farm-Crafted; back when I was just figuring things out, experimenting, and learning as I went. It’s stayed with me ever since.
The heart flower represents something simple but important: love for the process, love for the ingredients, and love for creating something nourishing and gentle.
Every time I press that stamp into a fresh bar, it feels like a quiet reminder of why I started this business; everyday essentials that are practical, beautiful, and full of farm-fresh ingredients.
It’s a small detail… but it means everything.

I’ve got a fun one coming up for … a FAQ post!
But instead of guessing what you want to know, I thought I’d ask you. 💛
What have you always been curious about when it comes to my soaps or small business?
It could be about:
• ingredients
• how I make soap
• why bars look different
• pricing
• how long things take
• markets & behind-the-scenes
Or anything else!
Drop your questions below and I’ll answer them in my upcoming post.

The soaps and balms I make are for people who want simple, thoughtful skincare made with real ingredients.
They’re for the person with sensitive skin who reads ingredient labels.
For someone who appreciates a good bar of soap at the kitchen sink after a day in the garden.
For people who like their skincare to feel a little bit like bringing the outdoors inside.
I make these products for folks who value small-batch, handcrafted things — the kind made slowly, with intention, using ingredients like goat milk, botanicals, clays, and nourishing oils.
If you like everyday essentials that are practical, beautiful, and rooted in nature, you’re exactly who I had in mind when I started EJ’s Farm-Crafted.
