1.6 million I want to thank all of you that have followed my channel, shared my videos and I love seeing your own before and afters of these techniques! I wanted to share with you how this technique was created :) In 2007/08 I was in hair school at Paul Mitchell.. I had this one teacher named Joe that saw something special in me and constantly pushed me out of my comfort zones, had me go to the advanced group (called Phase 2) to help them with updos when I had just started school and wasn't on the floor yet. One day, Joe and I were chatting about updos and volume and he told me "back in his day" they used Empty Soda Cans to lift and cool the hair off the roots for volume and I said wow that's kind of like this hairspray can! I put the spray can under my teased section and boom .. BEST VOLUME HAIR TIP EVER was born โ˜บ๏ธ Joe passed away but I know he is so proud and this video will always remind me of him. Thanks for all of your support everyone Xoxo

When you open up the latest fashion mag, skimming through the editorial pictures it may seem like these models just show up, do a couple poses and Boom. Well here is a sneak peak of behind the scenes.. I love to do these fashion/editorial shoots and just want to show that it is not a simple pose- it involves 50+ hair flips, 50+ hair tosses, 50+ changes in subtle hand positioning, lighting, body positioning and repeated 10000000000 times .. Then you get THE SHOT. Not to mention the countless hours of re-touching the images to make them flawless! Love fashion! Next time you open up your fave magazine I think you might look at it differently ;)

Just another day in my studio doing what I love Also had Ryan with Blend Event DC for a combined makeup/hair trial for our gorgeous May bride:) she was wanting a very soft natural hair/makeup look so she can be a glammed up version of herself for her big day. I love when brides can have their full look done at the same time/day for trials, it gives you the full package of how gorgeous you will look when your special day arrives.

So I have had a ton of requests from my awesome you tube friends asking how I brush out my teased hair. I thought everyone did it like I do but.. Apparently not if you are like me and have baby fine and extremely Thin hair .. Then you know we can't afford to LOSE any unnecessary hair strands! I brush out my teasing In reverse of EXACTLY how I tease it in.. I love using my "Wet Brush" (you can pick one up everywhere it seems like) Flip over your teased sections and brush each section out gently starting from the mid shaft of hair. ***PRO TIP- if you have a lot of hairspray in the teased sections.. First spritz a leave in conditioner or (home-remedy fave- Coconut Oil) on teased sections to loosen build up**** Voila! Comes out instantly with the least amount of damage and ...Pain Happy styling xo :))

Top secret hair tip today I'm using my Bumble and bumble. " thickening dry spun spray" (dry shampoo). This is my Go To when I want to give a natural voluminous messy look to my curls! Obviously I have super thin short hair.. So I'm wearing my Bellami Hair extensions. โ˜บ๏ธ (if you make my crazy face while spraying it helps too ) Happy styling!

Ok Blondes! Do you suffer from green tinted hair in the summer from swimming? Suffer no more you can do this at home. Today I used Malibu swimming shampoo and crystal packet to take out my clients green tinted ombre :) enjoy! Another tip- get your hair wet with tap water before jumping in.. This provides a barrier so your hair doesn't soak up the algaecide first ;) also wash hair ASAP after swimming

Happy Easter! Quickie video for you today :) Fish tail braids are so easy and look so cute. 1.Start with 2 even sections of hair 2. Grab a small piece from underneath 1st section, bring it over and combine with 2nd section 3. Repeat on other side 4. Take small pieces and try to keep the strands that you cross over similar in size 5. Repeat all the way down hair strands. Happy styling!

Working on that money shot! :)
