Listening Field Press

This new course grew out of my work developing courses on pain and professional ethics, and from noticing a gap in continuing education: we often discuss trauma-informed practice and health equity without fully examining how disability, changing capacity, access, and ableism shape the massage setting.

Listening to Capacity brings those conversations together through practical learning about communication, consent, boundaries, adaptation, and access. It is designed to help massage therapists respond ethically when a client’s needs or capacity change—without treating the client as the problem.
