I think one of the weirdest parts of growing up is realizing how many people will try to make you feel embarrassing for simply being excited about something.

Too colorful. Too dramatic. Too obsessed. Too much. Why would you make that? Why would you wear that? Why do you care so much?

And for a while, you might actually start editing yourself down so you’re easier for other people to understand.

Then one day you realize… wait. Why am I taking creative direction from people whose idea of taking a risk is ordering a different coffee in the morning? 😭

Maybe the goal was never to be easier to understand.

Maybe the goal is to be so fully yourself that the right people immediately get it.

The loud ideas. The random obsessions. The oddly specific taste. The thing you want to make even though nobody else “sees it” yet.

Do it anyway.

Because your life gets a lot more fun when you stop asking boring people for permission to have a vision. ✨
