GARLIC is one of those superfoods that can empower wellness in every way, and particularly useful in overcoming cold, flu, and sore throats!

Here’s a pesto recipe that will unlock the benefits of garlic.

GARLIC PESTO
(use organic when possible)
1½ cups of garlic and/or the tender parts of the scapes
¼ cup raw cashews and/or sunflower seeds
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup basil or whatever herbs you love (optional)
¼ cup finely grated pecorino or Parmesan cheese (get fresh & avoid the processed stuff)
Lemon juice
Salt

Chop garlic then blend with cashews, seeds, oil, and herbs in a food processor (or mash together in mortar and pestle). In a bowl, fold in cheese, season with lemon juice and salt, and chill for two hours or so for best taste.

Serve:
•toss with pasta/potatoes
•spread on toast
•smother chicken breast/gnocchi
•add to turkey wrap
•add to Monte Cristo
•crostini

Good evening! I said earlier that I had an announcement…so here it is: (long post, read until the end)

Beginning tomorrow, I will start doing weekly giveaways. I want to do this for all of you that buzz out my page and my content and want to invite and encourage others to do the same (buzz me out) This helps my page so much and I am very thankful for those that buzz me out consistently! I will have weekly prizes and I’ll also do a monthly grand prize (I’ll still do the free🐝bee monthly as well.)
The prizes may be seasonal (for example, the first weeks prize (next Friday) which I will post a picture of tomorrow) is a neutral Valentine home decor item. Some weeks I may do a free print, or some weeks I may do a decoupage craft kit, I’ll keep it fun!

Here’s how the prizes and drawings will work: for anyone that buzzes out my posts, no matter if it’s a good morning post or a new design release post, your name will go into the wheel of names for the drawing. So beginning now with this post start buzzing and I’ll announce a winner every Friday. (Beginning next Friday, Jan 24th)

I am also going to be offering some new items in my shop: one of those being a decoupage craft kit. This is not a “wood kit,” this will be a print of one of my designs, either full size, a mini or ornament size, a blank to decoupage the print to, either a wood panel, ornaments or a canvas, plus a brush, a small bottle of mod podge and possibly a small bottle of paint or stain(or antique wax) I was inspired by my friend Christine at Thistle Cottage to do these! I will have other new items, so stay tuned, I’ll announce those soon!
