Today, I made some Korean-style smoothie. Have you ever tried tomato smoothie? 🍅
This is one of my most faves of all time and it’s sooo yummy! 😋
I added some sea moss gel to the tomato smoothie recipe, and it turned out really good! 🍅🌊

The chilly weather makes me crave all kinds of soups and stews! 🍲🍛 Today at warmest was 57F. I love anything with tomato base so I made some chili! 🌶🍲
It was so quick and easy! I just blended all the fresh ingredients in the blender and then added beans, corn 🌽 and okras. Then I cooked at a low to medium heat. So simple and delicious! 😛
I can eat this every day and I wouldn’t get tired of it! 😂

I have lots of visitors at my patio! Several finches, sparrows and cardinals regularly come by for free food. 🐦🦜🕊
One time, I had a huge hawk that came over and sat on the railings. I had never seen one that close, and hadn’t realized how big they were until I saw them so closely. 🦅🦉
Among the birds that visit my patio, I found that this finch couple (one female and one male) likes to be very territorial. They don’t let anyone else in the feeder while they are there. 🤣

Chestnut season is here! 🌰 I have so many amazing memories of eating chestnuts growing up in Korea. 🇰🇷 Fire 🔥 roasted chestnuts are to die for!
When I was in Europe, I saw many street vendors selling roasted chestnuts especially in Christmas markets. I ate so many of them! 🤣 They were so yummy. 🤩
If you have a chestnut tree, watch your head when you walk under it during fall and winter! 🤣

I love farmers market Saturdays! 🥦🌽🥕🌶 There are many farmers markets around where I live, so I had to choose one! I’ve done ‘farmers market hopping’ at times. 😆
I love getting my produce from small-scale farmers because I love supporting small businesses and the produce taste like they just came from my grandma’s garden! 💕
Today, I went to the closest one last minute before they closed, so I didn’t get anything. Last week I had gone pretty early before everything gets picked. ☀️ I mainly wanted figs because it’s fig season! 🍁 I LOVE getting seasonal produce.
I found so many fresh and delish produce: green figs, bitter melons, a cute baby pumpkin 🎃 for decoration, a cutest little eggplant 🍆, peas and purple long string beans, sweet habanero peppers 🌶 , jalapeño peppers 🌶 and some microgreens 🌱!
I love having conversations with the farmers there and they always have really awesome tips and/or recipes! 🤩 I learned how to make delish peas and long strong beans, and it was so tasty. 🥳
When I came home, I wanted to take good photos of my findings and Snoop wanted to ‘investigate’ too. 😝🐶 He even licked a jalapeño pepper…😨🤨 Of course, he knows better and not eat it! ☺️
