I’ve been trying to add beans to my diet for the fiber. I was terrified it would make me gain weight but not so far.
Last night was red lentils with ground venison (you can use ground beef or sausage), tomatoes with chillis, 2 golden curry squares, bell pepper and onion, pkg beefy onion soup mix, 2 beef bone broth packets. Added in spinach at the end. It was delicious!
Time to get serious! Let’s start with stretches for now… working on the core for better balance and stretching out muscles for better flexibility! Lean meats and bulking up meals with high water content veggies!!! 🥗 🥦🥕🥬🫛🫑🥒🍆🍅🌶️🍤🎣🐓🐇

Recent Non Scale Victory: I had on shorts and realized that my thighs were NOT touchin/rubbing/flapping against each other when I walk!!!! That’s huge for me! I even tried on another pair of shorts… no rubbing!!!!
I always try to keep a trip or event in mind and I pick out outfits in advance and envision how I’ll look at that time. Nothing too far away and I don’t foresee anything too drastic or unreachable. I feel how proud I’ll be that I stayed the course. Looking to the future helps me in the present.
I’m re-realizing how important it is to keep things like cottage cheese, baked or grilled chicken, fresh veggies, etc on hand for when I need a quick meal or snack. It really makes it easier to stay on track!

But sometimes it takes a while… especially when you’re older. Be patient. Focus on nourishing your body and let the weight loss be a byproduct of that effort!
