Beloved did you know you that are a walking love letter.
You are love in human form.
God knew who he created before you were even born.
The sun shining on a cloudy day and the rainbow after the storm.
Embodied affection, in every word you utter I hear God.
Divine grace is flowing through you, it’s never flawed.
A conduit of love and compassion, this is not a facade.
A radiant light dispelling darkness of the night.
Never stop letting your love continue to shine bright.
Beloved you are love’s everlasting masterpiece
Your mere presence emanates solace and peace
Your existence paints life’s canvas divine.
A living testament, you are love redefined.
A creator, an architect, a universal design.
A symphony of love is your heart’s sweet song.
A serenade to souls, a sanctuary where only love belongs.
Beloved you’re a walking love letter, love in human form.

These Shoes

These shoes busting at the seams tattered and frayed
The kind of shoes that talk you know that Saying from back in the day
theses shoes I’ve walked for miles and miles on many nights and many days
these shoes my oh my they’re held together by faith
these shoes they speak for me when there’s no more tears and no more words left to say.
When I have nothing left to lose All I got is my word in my heart I look at these shoes that same way
And I wouldn’t trade these shoes for any other pair I know that might be crazy some would say
but these shoes tell a story
they tell my story a story of amazing grace

Russian Roulette

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder but love became a loaded gun
The mind often replays what the heart won’t forget
Like an ocean thoughts of you flood my memory
And I drown in my devotion and loyalty
I invited you in my heart, a museum full of old paintings of my past distorted over time
Broken statues and vases of my pain mended with gold.
I explained how like kintsugi how the cracks made me more beautiful and resilient.
I showed you around, I even showed you the pieces that have yet to be repaired.
My only request was that you didn’t break anything because some pieces irreparable.
I fell in love with you.
Hoping that somehow I could mend your brokenness.
All to often I find myself trying to fix others only to realize I saw myself in their eyes.
Loving you was the act of loving myself
The parts of me I’ve deemed unworthy of love, were the parts of you that I loved on the most… a mirror reflection
In denial of truth, my tears were the messenger.
Delivering a message of my grief, pain, remorse and love when I was unable to speak.
But My love would never be enough because I still struggle loving parts of me and you don’t even love yourself.
Giving all that I had but you can’t pour from an empty cup.
Loving you was killing me.
One bullet, spin the chamber and place it to my head
