5-year-old Carter Atkinson has been missing since July 11, 2026, after last being seen at his grandfather's home on Mockingbird Lane in Thomas County, Georgia.

Carter is autistic and non-verbal, which means he may not respond if his name is called, may avoid unfamiliar people, and may be unable to communicate that he needs help.

Children with autism can also be drawn to water, wooded areas, or quiet places to hide, making every moment critical.

Please take a few minutes to carefully check your property and surrounding areas: Yards, Sheds, garages, Vehicles, Wooded areas, Play equipment, Ponds, creeks, and other nearby bodies of water 💙

Any small or enclosed spaces where a child might seek comfort or hide
