In 2024, my friend gave me some samples. In addition to the range of scents, I loved the body butter and started buying it regularly for myself!
August 2025, my then 91-year-old Granny was struggling with painful dry eyes. I started using the unscented Body Glaze around her eyes and she finally got some relief.
In her final days this January, my mama used that same butter to massage her legs to increase Granny’s overall circulation and comfort. I never imagined that small purchase would be part of loving her well at the end of her life.
Word of mouth still matters. Black women always know the good products first.

Once I got settled into soft and natural glam, those were the clients I began attracting. India, another Spelman and Sorority Sister, came through for her daughter’s cotillion. She didn’t want a lot of makeup, but wanted makeup that was refreshing, light, and made her look like she was going to an evening event!
We settled on this look and she loved it.
