Kept this one simple but to-the-point; a monster truck cake for two little cuties who’s mama just happens to be one of my college roomies/ besties! ❤️

I created 10 cakes over the weekend and managed to forget to snap photos of about 5 of them 😩. I was on my feet for a good 36 hours and by Sunday morning, my brain was completely toast- BUT- everyone received their orders on time! Taking 10 orders at 32 weeks pregnant was probably not my wisest choice, but I did it knowing that it’ll be my last ‘busy weekend’ of orders until after the baby arrives.
This cake was giving me so much trouble (the Swiss merengue buttercream wasn’t cooperating)- BUT, I tried a new technique with wafer paper and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I’m still nowhere near the skill level that I’d like to be, but the little baby steps along the way are just as rewarding!

Just 3 of the 6 cakes from this weekend I’m riding a wave of pure joy because they were all such a blast to create! This was my busiest cake week to-date and at one point I was so overwhelmed that I wasn’t sure I’d get it all done. It took a few sleepless nights and most certainly A LOT of coffee; but I did it- and I would change absolutely nothing about the process! ❤️ @ Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Giving this cutie some love because I absolutely loved creating this one- and to add to the fun, I even got to meet the little baby that this cake was made for and she was delicious and squishy and SUCH A LITTLE SWEETIE!

Cake dEats: French vanilla sponge cakes with a vanilla bean ermine buttercream, dried florals + custom topper + smoked vanilla, strawberry cream + hazelnut macarons 🎂

I’ve gotten so much love for this cake- thank y’all SO much for the kind words! She went to her forever home and gets to perch in front of a bunch of people who are celebrating the baptism of an adorable little baby girl- and I couldn’t be more honored to have my cake be a part of their special day! ❤️❤️❤️

Not only was this super sweet dinosaur “three Rex” cake SO much fun to create, but it was also a super special pickup from a friend who not only went to high school/danced along side me in poms, but who was also one of my late mother’s first students wayyyy back when she taught kindergarten.
Life gets crazy and we all start to lead our own lives. We have our own journeys, stories, families and obstacles. Making cakes has become so much more than just a creative outlet for me. When I deliver a cake and see the delight and unfiltered joy that it brings to those who see it, I feel like I’m oozing radiance for the whole world to absorb. I’ve reconnected with old friends, met tons of new friends, been asked to challenge myself and my talents and have exponentially grown as a person, a baker, a mother, a friend and a wife. I’m immensely grateful to all who let me create something to celebrate some of the most important moments in their lives and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me- AND all of my customers ❤️.
