How you look on the outside is NOT the only marker of health. ⁣

How do you feel on the inside? ⁣
Are you really eating the foods you love? ⁣
Are you excluding things from your diet because they’re labeled “unhealthy foods?”⁣

True balance and intuitive thinking while eating is about knowing those things that your body needs, but also knowing what your mind needs🧠🫶🏼⁣

🖤Those that allow themselves the enjoyed foods are less likely to overeat and binge on foods. ⁣

Black and white thinking gets us in trouble. ⁣
All of nothing behavior gets us in trouble.⁣

I’ve had one donut. I might as well have more OR I’ve been good all week so I can treat myself this weekend. ⁣
How about I’ve allowed myself this donut today, so I’m going to pair it with a yogurt to balance my blood sugars. ⁣

I can assure you the secret to good health is not hiding in the pack of chia seeds. It’s not about how you feel days or weeks later, but how you feel months or years later.⁣

Too many fitness influencers or online coaches are too scared to tell you what it REALLY takes to lose weight. 😈⁣

“You can eat anything you want and lose weight” ⁣

Have you ever heard the saying, “you can’t have your cake and eat it to.” This means there’s two things you want simultaneously… cake 🍰+ weight loss👙 ⁣
Now that might take a while to reach your end goal…⁣

Now before you get heated… listen up… ⁣

I stand by the IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) approach to eating, BUT when in a weight loss phase this is not the philosophy I preach. ⁣

A cut (weight loss phase) should be 8-12wks in duration…. Not MONTHS of suffering and restriction. This means for 8-12wks you are on point, dialed in, and focused on your NEAT, LISS, weight training, and nutrition….. alright sprinkle in an Oreo here and there.⁣

If you are on a strict gut health protocol this is another short term phase where protocols are dialed in to a T. ⁣

Why? 🧐 ⁣
Well for the best and most optimal results… ⁣

Remember, a cut is 8-12wks… ⁣
This isn’t a lifetime of restriction. You’ll get your favorite cookies again, but tap into some self discipline during this time for optimal results. ⁣

Back in 2019 I started my own business as an online fitness coach. I had no clue what I was doing as a business owner, but I had confidence in my knowledge of exercise science to know I could change women’s lives and help them step into their power with movement, macros, and mindset.

I graduated from Georgia College & State University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. ⁣⁣

I interned at Georgia Tech where I was exposed to different training methods and modalities, olympic weight lifting, and earned my voice on the floor as a coach. ⁣⁣

I became the assistant coach for Metanoia Strong coaching many women throughout their health + fitness journey’s. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I became the lead programmer for Metanoia Strong creating programs for the entirety of the company. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I interned at Clemson University where I learned how important it is to stay fresh in your research, how to program for different sports teams, and how to communicate to athletes as a coach and mentor. ⁣⁣

I changed course from pursuing a career as a college strength coach to now a full time online health coach.
