Wanting to change as much as needed. I believe that’s daily. Unfortunately, we try changing what’s naturally the right path. Imagine that, changing what should be in the first place. Don’t dry yourself out trying to correct what is correct already. Blackness is greatness from the beginning! We just have to show up!

Sweet Words

I let my words be like sugarcane. Strong is what protects the sweetness. A memory of a child that once roamed those fields. Never forget where you come from. Just growing out of where I come from. Moral and ethical generations that were unsweetened. For black men it was never sweet. So, I speak these sweet words to you. You may bend, but don’t break!

Unlearn the trauma! We can’t continue to look pass on what we are accountable for. She is the wisdom, and yet we fail him. We don’t hold ourselves up and that’s what’s holding US down. Collectively on violence, but singular on accountability. Who can we teach, if we are not willing to learn. Black Men are protectors, but who protects them? Start new!
