Hey Y’all!!!! Greetings and Alafia! Next Friday, I’ll be serving Chamo at at the party. Come through!
I’ll have beautiful and unique jewelry, thoughtful and cute gifts and some sweltering hot Winter clearance! 🔥🔥🔥 will be having a record pop-up and what I do know is people with great taste in music have great taste in gear and sometimes they drink gin, but most times they drink beer! Start your weekend right with some dope djs spinning some big chunes, me and Chamo shop. There’ll definitely be other people there, but I haven’t met them yet. Thanks, peace.

The beloved maguey washcloth. Handwoven with fibers from the leaves of the agave plant. When wet, the fibers constrict into a softly coarse material that smooths skin, scrubs off dead cells with a therapeutic touch. In the shop. Hit the link.

Improvisational Quilt by Susana Allen Hunter (1912-2005) of Wilcox County, Alabama. Quilting is the artform of resilience. Beautiful tapestries of scraps of discarded clothes and other textiles, an endless testament of "making sum shake." Her use of texture, color, and use of linear placement sets her work apart from other quilters, it seems she fully embraced the idea of each quilt being considered as a work of art, even going as far as having names for her works. I’m in the bed... for now. Feels great. put me on to the with Malcolm Gladwell and Rick Rubin and found this gem from the Tyler, the Creator interview. It reminded me of a convo I had with .iller about why it’s important to articulate what you like about something. Telling artist you “like” something and not being able to say why, cheats the experience for the viewer and the artist. Connections and communications touch the subconscious, touches your essence in a way that is unique to you. You experience these moments alone. Share that vision. And if you can’t figure out why you like something, explore that.

: textured braid. Fall and winter is coming. Hot girl summer done. Warm girl winter soon deh yah. I hate cold weather and don’t really design for cold weather either. But, I DO love the textures of winter clothing and I love the opportunities for colors and textures in layering. I like the colorful slubs in this blanket, I cut strips and finished the edges and braided them in a braid. I thought I’d use it as a belt for a coat. But as it got longer, I started seeing it as a trim for a sweater dress. I’m getting inspired! This make something everyday challenge is going well. Some great starts.
