She is the owner of CHAMO, a fashion company that provides custom-designed garments, business consultancy, lectures, and instruction. Prior to founding CHAMO, Camisha worked in project management and marketing in the tech startup sector. She is inspired by the “cultural DNA” that binds the African diaspora to the African continent and seeks to establish direct connections that strengthen that union. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Georgia State University and a M.S. in Fashion Design from Drexel University.

: textured braid. Fall and winter is coming. Hot girl summer done. Warm girl winter soon deh yah. I hate cold weather and don’t really design for cold weather either. But, I DO love the textures of winter clothing and I love the opportunities for colors and textures in layering. I like the colorful slubs in this blanket, I cut strips and finished the edges and braided them in a braid. I thought I’d use it as a belt for a coat. But as it got longer, I started seeing it as a trim for a sweater dress. I’m getting inspired! This make something everyday challenge is going well. Some great starts.
