🌹🧼 **Round TWO of the Soap Chronicles!** 🧼🌹

Making more rose soaps for my upcoming event, and this time we definitely had a **much thinner trace! 🙌🏽** BUT… these soaps still wanted to keep me on my toes. 😂 The batter started thickening up pretty quickly, so once again, I had to MOVE FAST! 🏃🏽‍♀️💨

The good news? I moved fast enough this time to get **TWO full trays poured properly!** 👏🏽🌹 The third tray though… 😬😂 we *may* have a few problems there.

But that's the fun (and stress 😩😂) of cold-process soap—you really don't know exactly what you've got until it's time to unmold!

So now we wait… 👀🌹 **Will tray #3 make it?! We shall see tomorrow!** 😂🤞🏽

Making these beautiful 🌹 rose soaps for an upcoming special event, and whew… things almost went LEFT! 😅🧼

You would THINK it would be easy—make the soap, pour it into the molds, and call it a day. 😂 Nope! Cold process soap always has a mind of its own!

Everything was going nice and smooth until I added the fragrance and turmeric. Almost immediately, I could see my soap batter slowly starting to thicken and seize. 😳 I had to think QUICK, move even quicker, and get these babies into those little rose molds before the batter completely stopped cooperating!

And let me tell you… trying to fill individual rose molds with soap that is getting thicker by the SECOND is definitely not as easy as it looks. 😩😂

That’s the thing about cold process soapmaking—you just never know! Certain essential oils and fragrance oils can behave beautifully, while others can completely change your plans. Sometimes you have plenty of time to pour, swirl, and design…and sometimes it’s basically **GO, GO, GO!** 🏃🏾‍♀️💨

But that’s part of the art of handmade soap. You learn to think on your feet, work with what the batch gives you, and keep going. 🙌🏾

I’m hopeful these roses are going to turn out beautiful! 🌹✨ Tomorrow is the big reveal, so we’ll see what happens when I unmold them. 👀

Lately, I feel like I’m juggling **ALL the things.** 😮‍💨

IEP meetings & advocating for what they need 📝
Therapy appointments 🧩
Running my small business 🤎
Event Planning
Date nights or days with Hubby👩‍❤️‍👨
Cooking, cleaning, laundry & keeping our home together 🏡
Making time to exercise and take care of myself 💪🏽
And somewhere in between all of that… trying to get enough sleep. 😴

Some days I handle it well. Other days, I’m completely overwhelmed wondering how one person is supposed to fit everything into 24 hours.

But one thing I’ve realized is that **finding balance doesn’t mean giving up the things that matter to me.** Its taking me nearly 7 years to find myself after kids and I dont want to lose ME again.

So, I will NOT put down my business and the dreams I’ve worked so hard to build, But I will NOT sacrifice family time or my children’s education or stop advocating for the support they deserve, And I will NOT continue putting myself at the very bottom of the list. ❤️

Instead, I’m learning to **adjust, not quit.** Maybe everything doesn’t need to happen every single day. Maybe the house won’t be perfect. Maybe some things can wait until tomorrow.

Because my family matters.
My dreams matter.
**And I matter too.**

So this season isn’t about choosing between being a mother, an advocate, a business owner, or taking care of myself.

It’s about learning how to make room for **all of me**—with a little more grace along the way. 🙏🏽✨

What a difference 24 hours makes! 🤎✨

If you saw yesterday's post, you know this batch had me a little nervous. The trace thickened up much faster than expected, and I wasn't sure how it would turn out once it was time to cut.

Well... I'm happy to report **it came out just fine!** 🙌🏽

I made sure to cut it within that 24-hour window, and I'm so glad I did. The bars released beautifully and have a gorgeous **artisan, handcrafted look** that makes every bar unique. No two are exactly alike—and that's one of the things I love most about cold process soap.

Our **Soothing Turmeric Milk Bar** is now officially on the curing rack, where it'll spend the next several weeks becoming an even harder, longer-lasting bar that's gentle and nourishing for your skin.

Soap making isn't always picture-perfect... and today definitely kept me on my toes. 😅🧼

Today I was making a fresh batch of our **Soothing Turmeric Milk Bar**, and everything started off beautifully. My batter came to a nice, workable trace, and I thought, "This is going to be an easy pour."

Then... things changed FAST. 😳

I'm not exactly sure what happened. I may have mixed it just a little too long, or maybe the combination of the essential oils and goat milk decided to speed things up. Thankfully, it **didn't seize**, but it got thick enough that I had to move quickly to get it into the mold before it became unworkable.

Those are the moments that remind you that soap making is truly part science, part art, and sometimes a little bit of controlled chaos. 😂 Every batch teaches me something new, and even after making soap for a while, there's always something that keeps me learning.

I was able to get it poured, smooth it out the best I could, and now... we wait. 🤞

Tomorrow is the real test. I'm hoping and praying for a beautiful cut with no hidden surprises. If all goes well, you'll soon have another batch of our nourishing **Soothing Turmeric Milk Bar** ready to love your skin.
