My Bella Story books help kids know they're created on purpose, who they are & where they came from. We think BELLA says it best meaning “Beautiful” story.
Our daughter was our inspiration and her name is Isabella Grace “Bella” means Beautiful and her middle name is for Grace of God. So we thought these books would well illustrate our children’s stories as “The beautiful Grace of God’s love and gift to our lives!!”

ut how you came to bring them into your life forever. It helps put words and pictures together and helps make it real for them. We add in scripture verses if you like that will be tailored to the topic on the page to help give life to the words. Most people dream at some point in their lives about having children. I’ve dreamed about it since I was a little girl. When I was 18 I fell asleep driving and hit a tree at 60 miles an hour, split my car into 2 pieces and wasn’t supposed to live or walk again. Thankfully God saved my life. I learned how to walk again and let God change the course of my life. I spent 2 months in Africa a few summers later and came back having even more passion for children. If God hadn’t brought my wonderful husband, Paul, into my life I would have been on my way to working in an orphanage somewhere. But we agreed one day when we had children we would adopt as well. We never knew God was preparing us for 10 years of marriage and a life without children. We went through all the pain and turmoil. Finally, for our 10 year Wedding Anniversary, God blessed us with a phone call about a little baby girl who had just been born here in Atlanta, Georgia. We raced over to meet her and knew she was the one God had created for us. Amazingly, 10 months later, God fixed my tummy and put our son, Anderson, in it so they would have each other for life! During the time when we were getting ourselves ready to adopt, our amazing case worker, with Bethany Christian Services, spoke about how every child needs to have their own story. How most children when they are born into their forever family its just a regular thing to tell them their story as they grow up. But for some children who don’t stay with their natural born family they never get to have their story told to them. Or other children from birth start with their forever family but its not thought about since they don’t have very many details. Well, since I have always been a Cinderella girl, I felt our daughter, Isabella, needed to have her own story. So when she was a small baby I asked God to give me a story to tell her so as she grew up I could put more information into it that she was ready to hear. Then when she turned 5 years old, my husband, being a Graphic Designer, helped me put the words I had been telling her into a book of her own. We gave it to her for her 5th Birthday and it not only blessed her but the 6 little girls at the party and their parents. Isabella asked “when all her friends could have a book of their own? She said it made her feel special, loved and happy inside.”
We had never envisioned this to become something where we would do it for other families but a few of the mother’s at the party impressed upon us the need and blessing of this book. One of those families came to us and shared their daughter really would like one so she could know her story. They said they wanted to give it to her as her Christmas gift. We wrote our first book for this precious little girl who had been adopted from China. It will impact me for the rest of my life the time and care I put into that book so it would be words of life to her forever! They sent us a photo of when she read it to them and she clung to the book, the photos, and every word.
