AN OPEN LETTER TO BLACK KINGS — WORLDWIDE
To the Black men holding households together with grit, faith, and exhaustion no one sees.
To the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, providers, protectors, and problem-solvers.
To the men carrying generations on your back while smiling through pressure.
Our time.
Our energy.
Our passion.
Our love for family.
We show up.
We keep food on the table.
We raise children into teens, teens into adults, adults into legacy.
We do whatever it takes to keep the family afloat even when we’re drowning quietly.
And still… too often, when the head of the household is gone, there’s nothing left behind.
No assets. No ownership. No blueprint. No inheritance.
That has to change.
2026 demands better.
Generational wealth is not a dream — it’s a responsibility.
Something tangible must remain when we’re long gone.
That work starts now.
This is also the year we tell the truth about mental health.
Anxiety. Depression. Bipolar. Burnout.
Feeling unappreciated. Overlooked. Taken for granted.
Loving harder than you’re loved back.
We’ve been selfless.
Showing up in everyone’s trauma.
Praying over people. Covering them. Saving them.
And when it’s our turn to fall apart the phone goes quiet.
No visits. No presence. No reciprocity.
That ends now.
This is the year we move differently.
This is the year of boundaries, healing, strategy, ownership, and self-love.
This is the year Black men choose peace and purpose.
This is the year we do it better for ourselves and for what we leave behind.
Black Kings your life matters. Your legacy matters.
