DREAMS DO COME THROUGH!!

15 years of trying and failing and wondering if I was insane because I saw soooooo many products on the market! I wondered if what I believed to be true about scalp/skin care would resonate with people. I chose to trust what I believe was a sweet gift from God.
It’s not been easy because if you know anything about the beauty industry, it’s brutal! BUT… there are moments along the way that makes you believe that what I/you do matters.

STORY TIME:
A while ago, I was contacted by . If you know me, you know the socials scare me. 😜 So I thought… this can’t be real. I did some research and let’s just say after meetings and emails and the in-betweens, we landed here.

A few months ago, this beauty came in to see me about getting her right. Though I knew what I was getting into because I had done a consultation with her prior, I was not prepared for what I actually saw. She had been using so much product (creams and gels for her edges - bad idea) to keep her hair “looking good.”
Unfortunately what she was doing instead was suffocating her scalp with all those products, thereby affecting the health and growth of her hair.
So I cleaned her up. Believe me… pic 1 is after a lengthy detox 😩. Added to the fact that she had not done a retie in over 6 months!! (hep me lawd!🤣)

But I tell you what… this chick got out the chair feeling brand new and had a pep in her steps!!

HOW I achieved this? I used a detox apple cider mix and NappyRED’s Clarifying shampoo! It will strip your hair of all the gunk and bring it back to life! Hair Growth vs. Healthy Scalp? Ask me why I LOVE what I do and I’ll tell you it’s because I see transformation happen in a way that builds confidence. See… People thrive off growing long hair. But what if the length is there but the scalp is unhealthy? Yes… it happens! A LOT!! So I made a vow some 17 years ago that in this business, I would focus on the health of my clients scalps - as well as I can. I’m no derm expert but I do know after so many years when I see a problem. I ALWAYS advise my clients to seek professional help in that area and then work along with their docs recommendations to get them over the hump.

I say all that to say this:
My cleint goes to get a haircut. Comes to get maintenance done and I see the back of the head looking some kinda way I’d never seen before. Two things immediately jump at me: either the razor used to cut was not cleaned properly or the barber was too harsh on the head and caused the burn and bumps.
