Is that trendy messy bun modern French twist living rent-free in your head? Let’s turn that inspiration photo into profit.

Step 1: Take a zigzag parting to separate the face frame from the rest of the hair. I always use zigzag partings to help romanticize your up-style.

Step 2: Brush and smooth the rest of the hair into one pony, twist and flip this hair up the middle of the head and secure at the top with two Bobby pins attached to an elastic band.

Step 3: Pinch and pull the bottom of your twist to elongate its shape towards the nape. Pin inside the structure to secure and hide your Bobby pins.

Step 4: Shape and mold the hair above your twist to create a messy bun. Remember to allow the hair to take shape versus trying to force it in a direction.

Step 5: Drape and pin the security pieces from the face frame by pining them into the structure versus trying to pin the entire sections.

Step 6: Pinch, Pull, Pin and spray your finished style. This is where you get to sculpt your final silhouette before spraying.

Step one: Color Gels Oils 6MO in 3 back to back foils alternating with 6 Blonde IQ 9+ with 10vol foils

Step two: in the previously lightened panels, 3 back to back foils of Shades ALK 8VG + 8G with 3 back to back foils of Shades ALK 6CB + 10C both with 10vol
