Did you know that the FDA actually approves a certain percentage of bugs and pesticide residue to be in/on our food and produce?
I don't know about you but I'm good on the extra protein in the form of bugs and DEFINITELY good on the harmful chemicals.

What are some ways you wash your produce before cooking it or eating it?

To close out the last day of our fast I decided to do a cooked vegan dish...
Roasted Brussel Sprouts!!!
Funny thing... I hated Brussel Sprouts growing up! Like I honestly couldn't STAND THEM! π Then... there's the whole Cruciferous Vegetable debate.
But.... This recipe though! π€€
(This is a simple recipe. You can also add the balsamic and Maple Syrup to a pan. Cook on low heat until it thickens to create more of a glaze. I like my Brussel Sprouts to have a little crunch but you can absolutely add them to your pan of glaze and simmer for about 5-10mins.)

Today is the first day of our 4 Day Fast! π Have you set your intentions or goals yet? How has your 1st day of fasting been?
This is officially my 1st detailed recipe video! π

Here's a Massaged Kale Salad Recipe that will help make your meal prepping for your fast a little easier! The ingredients are listed below. Enjoy!!! π«π₯π±
o 2-2 Β½ cups Kale and Baby Kale mixed
o Β½ Bell Pepper (Red and/or Yellow)
o ΒΌ Red (Purple) Onion
o 2-3 Celery Stalks
o 3 Carrot Sticks
o 1 Β½ Tbsp EVOO
o 1 tsp (capful) of Avocado Oil
o 3 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
o 1 Β½ -2 Tbsp ACV
o 2 Tbsp Organic 100% Natural Maple Syrup
o Salt
o Garlic Powder
o Red Pepper Flakes/Cayenne
o Turmeric

Fasting is defined as abstaining from some or all kinds of food or drink. Fasting has been shown to help your metabolism, give your gut a break, and improve your overall health.
If we tap into the religious or spiritual realm fasting is a way to quickly manifest your wants, desires, and needs. Fasting is like the modern day sacrificing. It is not about social media and clout; it's about our Spiritual Journey and relationship with God. Make it personal. Make it about your growth and improvement.
In preparation for this fast I am setting my intentions. I am writing down a clear list of what I'd like to manifest. It may be easier to only write 2-3 main things down (Write In Pencil! βοΈβοΈβοΈ) and focus on them for this fast. Throughout this Fast I will be praying and meditating on those things that I wish God to help me bring to fruition in my life.
I've developed a list of foods to avoid for this fast. You may do whichever fast makes you feel most comfortable.
So, start thinking about what you wish to focus on... set your intentions... let's Manifest!!! Happy Fasting!πΏ
