as a working mom of two the one snack in my bag that’s actually for me and not the toddler, finally.

i will pack 3 pouches, crackers and a backup snack for a 2 hour outing and then end up standing in the pantry at 2pm with nothing for myself, every single time !

so i started keeping the new Beef Sticks in my bag because they’re easy and they don’t melt, crush, or get forgotten in there like everything else.

10 grams of protein, 100 calories, zero sugar, grass fed beef, no artificial flavors or preservatives. original is smoky and savory, jalapeño has a little heat if that’s your thing, original’s my fave.

my toddler keeps stealing mine which honestly tells you everything lol!!

they’re a new brand so i dropped where to find them below 👇
📍 find them here: goodwarrior.com

Just popping in to remind you that even in the throes of motherhood and the hard days, these little moments on holiday weekends always remind me that we are truly living the dream rn!! I know I always talk about “real life” vs “highlight reel”, and we will always be upfront and honest over here about the true real life days!! But hey, the highlight reel on a holiday weekend is great too 🤍♥️🎆

wishing you and your family a safe and happy 4th!!

xoxo,

five mom hacks i wish someone told me sooner, save this before the long weekend 🍊

i’ve got a full 9-5 and two toddlers, so i only keep the hacks that save real time and mess, and these five do.

1. pouch popsicles. cut the top off a trader joes pouch close to the spout so it doesn’t spill, put a popsicle stick in the middle, freeze it standing up overnight, then run it under warm water to slide the wrapper off. push the stick through a muffin liner and it catches the drips. same pouch she already eats, now it lasts 15 minutes instead of 30 seconds.

2. swim diaper shortcut. put a regular diaper OVER the swim diaper before you leave the house. swim diapers only hold solids, so any p*e in the car seat leaks straight through. p*el the top diaper off at the pool and she’s ready, no bathroom change.

3. the mandarin trick. slice a thin piece off the top and the bottom, press your thumb straight down through the center, and it opens into segments. no p*el stuck under your nails, no fighting the p*el while a toddler waits. mine eats 3 in a row so this saved me real time.

4. sneaky veggie mac. stir a veggie pouch into their mac and cheese. squash, carrot, and sweet potato blend into the sauce and the color barely changes, so they eat it. real vegetables in on a night i have nothing left.

5. teether case. put the teething crackers in a clean old sunglasses case you already have. it’s hard so it doesn’t crush, and it snaps shut, so they come out whole instead of crumbs at the bottom of the diaper bag. costs nothing.

which one of these are you actually trying this weekend?

comment SUB and i’ll send you my substack, i just wrote a one-page plan so the long weekend stops being a second job 📩

july 4th recipes 👇

a whole round up of what i actually bring to cookouts, the balsamic strawberry whipped feta everyone fights over, smash tacos, watermelon feta salad, a make-ahead pasta salad so i’m not stuck in the kitchen, sweet + spicy drumsticks, and the pouch popsicles my kids destroy in the driveway.
most of it is make-ahead bc i’m not spending my one day off at the stove lol

comment JULY and i’ll dm you every single recipe, plus the inflatable ice trays i’m obsessed with for hosting (they hold SO much and honestly look way cuter than a cooler)

a working mom's fourth of july plan (mental load included) 07/02/2026

every fourth of july weekend used to sneak up on me and turn into three days of figuring it all out on the fly. so this year i did something different, i sat down and made an actual plan for the weekend, where we're going each day, who's got the kids, the one meal that matters, so i could actually be present for it instead of running around the whole time.

i wrote the whole thing out this morning over on my substack, plus my full cookout menu (the whipped feta, the smash tacos, the watermelon salad, all of it).

happy 4th, friends! 🇺🇸

my second baby had a really tough time with sleep and discomfort and y’all there was a stretch where it honestly felt like nothing was working for us.

as a working mom of 2 i needed a wind down routine that was going to actually calm him before bed without me having to think about it every single night, and Johnson’s® Baby Bedtime® Bath and Lotion ended up being what finally cracked it for him!

side note, Johnson’s® Baby was such a staple in my own childhood, i literally remember taking those bubble baths growing up so there’s a real nostalgia in using it now with both my kids, just with the new lavender formula our 3-step routine that helped his overall sleep...
1. warm bath with Johnson’s® Baby Bedtime® Bath
2. gentle massage with Johnson’s® Baby Bedtime® Lotion
3. quiet time, low lighting, sound machine on both made with soothing aromas that help relax baby before bedtime, and i grab them at dollar general which makes it so easy to keep stocked at home.

founding membership: 6 years of working mom systems 06/30/2026

i used to stand at the fridge at 5:47 every night deciding what’s for dinner like it was a brand new problem, when it’s the same question i answer every single day.

so i stopped deciding it nightly and started deciding it once a week. i pick 3 dinners my family already eats, those are the options, and the other nights are leftovers or something easy. that’s the whole plan. no meal-planning app, no pinterest board, no cooking anything fancier, i just refuse to re-answer a question i already answered on sunday.

and it turns out it’s not only your sanity it costs. the epa ran the numbers and the average family of four throws out about $2,900 of food a year, and most of it is just stuff that went bad before anyone got to it. having a plan means you actually use what you buy.

dinner went from the worst hour of my day to a non-event, and i didn’t add a single minute to my night.

this is one of 6 years of working mom systems i just put all in one place, my new membership, with a brand new full system every week. i’m opening it to founding members right now at the lowest price it’ll ever be, and that founding rate closes for good in a few weeks. if you want in, the link’s below 🤍
