And then Allah said, “Not yet. There’s someone else you need to love.” 🤍

A little secret I’ve been keeping, and the reason I’ve been a little quiet on here. Alhamdulillah, Allah is blessing us with another little miracle.

Honestly, I’m a little nervous. 14 years later and we’re about to start all over again.

Thinking about the sleepless nights, stinky diaper changes, the bottles, the milk spit-ups, tiny newborn cries and all the physical pain and changes that come with bringing another little life into this world.

It all sounds a little overwhelming… and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared.

But then I think about how Bibi Khadija رضي الله عنها had all her children after the age of 40 and that gives me so much peace. This thought makes me look forward to the sweet newborn smell, tiny fingers wrapped around mine, the softest cuddles, the snuggles and the baby giggles. InshaAllah.

And more than anything, I can’t wait to watch my older two become big sister and big brother. I know they’re going to pour so much love into this baby, and witnessing that love is what I’m looking forward to the most.
Also, secretly happy that I’ll be getting free babysitters.

As our family is growing, please keep me, this pregnancy, our baby, and my little family in your duas. May Allah bless us with a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, and a righteous child who brings us closer to Him. Ameen. 🤍

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ

“My Lord, grant me from Yourself a pure and righteous offspring. Surely, You are the Hearer of supplication.” (Qur’an 3:38)
