Banshee's Battlements

Brutus, our shop guardian, was feeling fabulous wearing my extra-long braids this past weekend! 😂 Should I make him a custom pair?

What goes into custom braids from Banshee's Battlements?

This is a bespoke pair of braids made for a client to be both hair accessories and spiritual tools for her magic. This was a custom color blend to match the client's hair color as closely as possible. When she wears these, often people will ask how she grew her hair so quickly, not realizing they're synthetic!

These braids celebrate balances within our world, with hand-selected beads from a local bead shop here in Austin. Silver to gold, dark to light, sea to stone--where each bead on the right braid has a matching opposite on the left braid.

And the best part about our braids: they're reusable, easy to install and remove, and will last for years.

Our Mini-Falls are one of our clients' favorite finds when they come into the armory! They're simple, versatile, and such an easy accessory to add that extra bit of armor to any day. We're excited to increase our color variations for our Mini-Falls soon! Stay tuned for release updates ✨

What's a Wisdom Loc?

This is a single, intentional braid or loc often representing a personal or spiritual journey. These are one of my favorite services to offer because of the rich stories they often represent.

The client featured in the first picture wanted to get a single braid installed to support his young daughter, who just had her first set of braids installed and is learning how to care for them.

For the client in the remaining pictures, this loc represented the strength to choose her own path. Four was a number she trusted, and the natural gemstone at the root of the braid offered protection and safety.

I feel truly honored when clients entrust me with such personal journeys and love weaving them into a physical symbol that can stay with them as they continue on their path.

Magic is real within the Banshee's armory! Whether you come with long hair, short hair, or even no hair, the options to adorn our braids are endless. We are creating new products between each event, and can't wait to share them with you soon!

The options are endless when it comes to adding charms and beads to your battle braids!

One of our new products we're loving lately is our Battle Braid mini-falls! These are three beaded strands secured to a large U-shaped pin that's easy to anchor into any ponytail or bun. Each of our mini-falls is created by hand, making every single one unique. What color do you want to see next? 🌈

Our beading materials are wood, bone, natural shells, gold, silver, copper, etc. The possibilities are endless. Each mini-fall is $20. We take custom orders and can ship anywhere in the US! ❤️

We had such a wonderful time at our first out-of-state festival! The Viking Thing, AR Ren Fest's single weekend event, was such a glorious celebration of everything it means to be Viking! ⚔️
