We believe quality starts long before a product reaches the jar. That’s why we prioritize traceable sourcing, small-batch production, and a time-intensive rendering process designed to create a cleaner, more refined tallow.

Ever wonder what makes high-quality tallow different?

Not all tallow is rendered the same way. My process is intentionally slow and involves multiple stages to create a clean, stable, and nourishing final product.

I begin with a wet salt render, where the tallow is gently melted with water and salt. This helps separate impurities and allows me to remove anything I don’t want making its way into your skincare. I typically repeat this process twice to ensure a thoroughly purified base.

Next come one or two dry renders. These additional rendering stages help further refine the tallow and create the smooth, creamy texture I look for in my finished balm.

The final stage is my herbal render. This is where the tallow is slowly infused with carefully selected botanicals, allowing their beneficial compounds to become part of the finished product. Because my herbs are infused directly into the tallow itself, every jar receives the benefits of both nutrient-rich tallow and whole-plant ingredients.

It’s a time-consuming process, but I believe skincare should be made with intention, not shortcuts.

I’ve been reaching for this emulsified tallow lotion constantly lately—especially after the gym, swimming, and showers. It’s lightweight, fast-absorbing, and perfect when my skin doesn’t need a heavy barrier.

In the winter, I use my tallow balm as a protective layer against dry weather, but I love switching to this emulsified version when things warm up.
