As moms, goodness we wear so many hats! We’re constantly ON in our heads but it’s so necessary to CHOOSE balance and CREATE moments of rest. Because let’s be honest, it doesn’t just happen for us. We have to be intentional.

This past month I focused more on being present with my family and taking better care of myself. From working out and wearing my first bikini in atleast 13 years 😅, to doing some shopping and fixing myself up more, making time for mommy daughter dates with each of my girls, to getting back to having alone time with the hubby…it’s been a great one!

I don’t know what this season calls for you, Mom. But one thing I do know is that life is so much better when we take time to take care of ourselves and do the things that bring us joy. We can’t always be on grind mode.

Last week we were invited to our kids’ school to showcase our small businesses as a model for their micro society curriculum and it filled out hearts. Jennifer Navas Skincare and The Beard Dad have been home-grown by our family, with so much love behind the scenes. Just felt really good to share this moment as a unit and be reminded that it’s always worth it to persevere.

So thankful for the amazing people we met and shared with too. We got to connect with so many men & women…some who feel ready to make changes in their skin…and some who shared the obstacles they face in not knowing what to do. Thankful to be exactly where we need to be, equipped to help others feel amazing in their skin!
