You maybe thinking… “denise, why on earth are you posting hairs with skin attached to them? Thats gross”

My first reaction is to that thought.. 1. Im an esthetician this is my job to educate.. everyone can get ingrowns lol
And 2. Then dont look at my page 🙃

Okay back to the reason i am posting these hairs. All 3 of these were ingrowns in my legs. And the dead skin attached to it is lack of exfoliation that is just one of the primary reasons for ingrowns. This is a perfect example of my lack of exfoliation. Truth time here. I rarely exfoliate or hydrate my legs. Its realllly bad. But im here to share my experiences as well.

2-3 times a week you should be exfoliating your skin so new skin cells can grow and increase cell turnover.

BE CAREFUL of overexfoliating. That can cause a disruption in your skin barrier and can lead to other problems.

But this is why ingrowns happen. Lack of exfoliation is 1 and lack of hydration is 2.

So moral of this post. Exfoliate and hydrate.
