✨🦢A Swan Review 🦢✨
This was fun & a great audio production!!
I think Kelley did a great job pulling inspiration from several different movies and television shows. It honestly had a little bit of everything.
However, if you’re a horror fan this may seem like something you’ve experienced before but what exactly hasn’t been done before?
I personally enjoyed the isolated setting, sketchy characters and shapeshifters. It kept the suspense going & I never knew what would happen next.
While the plot twist was a tad bit unique, it was slightly silly/scatterbrained. Other than that & the beginning being slow, I enjoyed this.
Perfect for fans of From & Final Destination.
Thank You Macmillan Audio for this ALC.

✨🦢A Swan Review 🦢✨
This is one of the very few cases where you have an unlikable character who’s experienced so much pain that you can’t help but to turn a blind eye to some of their actions.
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book this heavy and I can honestly say that Mara did an amazing job of displaying sexual trauma, sexuality and its aftermath. I’m interested in seeing what she writes next. I would love for her to write a story about a strong group of friends because her character Farrah was an amazing friend to Dionne. She really brought a lot of comfort to the story. Overall, this was great but hard to read.
& of course I read this with our book club Chapter Chat 🫶🏾✨
One of my favorite quotes.
I enjoyed tabbing almost every page
This was just the beginning. I eventually had to had some more colors when life for Dionne got way too chaotic.
These characters be going throughhhhh it!!
Have you ever been traumatized by a book? 🤔

✨🦢 A Swan Review 🦢✨
This was some great storytelling. There were so many themes and great conversation starters that makes this story perfect for group reads.
Some of the characters were great examples of how the past will continue to repeat itself, especially when you have questionable morals. This also reminded me a lot of some of our civil rights leaders and the discourse and disagreements that took place during that time period. I loved the narration but I do wish there was a full cast of narrators. Overall this was amazing.
Thank you NetGalley for the ALC. 🫶🏾
