3️⃣ Things to know when foiling the underneath hairline. 1. When foiling, make sure your first 2-4 foils are being placed diagonally. You always want to make sure you’re following the natural shape of the head. Not only, will it give you a natural look BUT the grow out will also be seamless. 2. As we all know the underneath is the warmest part of the head. So when foiling this section, make sure you start w a lower developer. You don’t want to blow out the cuticle…ESPECIALLY bc the sun will never truly shine underneath, alway check as you go. 3. If you’re not foiling the entire head — then I would suggest to add a couple foils on top of the ear & behind the ear. This is very IMPORTANT & you don’t want to miss this step, especially if your client is constantly putting their hair up. You don’t want your client walking around w a patchy hairline — or do we? No bestie, trust me…we don’t. Above the ears connects the front & back hairline. This will ensure a much more natural looking blonde. Ofc these steps will be determine once you have a consult w your client. I personally like to have at least 15 mins of chitchatting w my clients before starting any hair service. Wether it’s a touch up client or a new client…I always want to make sure we’re both in the same page before starting anything. How gorgeous is my client/sis-in-law 💓

Honestly, I was really happy when she asked me if I can cut her hair. W/out knowing I gave her exactly what she wanted💓

Her hair is super beautiful & it’s also curly. She’s never had a styled cut before, so when she asked me to cut it…I knew exactly the style I wanted to give her.

In the middle of me cutting her hair - she showed me some inspo pics & said “My hair is nappy & curly I don’t ever think I can get this type of haircut (long layers in front, V shape in the back). I looked at the pic & said “maybe one day you will 😏”. She couldn’t believe how much attention I was giving her & her hair.

I didn’t let her see it until I was done & I kid you not - her face was priceless!!!! She literally said “I literally wanna cry of happiness”. I gave her what she always wanted & it made my heart smile knowing she was extremely happy w the result.

Her appointment made me realize why I started doing hair in the first place. It was to make women feel beautiful & confident in their own hair. 💓
