1. How long does my hair need to be before I start new dreadlocks? You'll want to hav
e a minimum of 4 inches of hair growth from the scalp before we can get you started. When your hair this short, it's a little more work for the first few months to get them going.
2. How much length will I lose? Everyone's hair varies in shrinkage after we start up new dreads.
3. Do I have to shave my head if I don't want to have locks anymore? Dreadlocks are a commitment. Like most great things, they take time to develop and grow into beautiful expressions
of their owner. If you're considering starting up dreadlocks, you must be prepared for this journey. Dreadlocks can be
combed out but it is a timely process. Make sure you are ready for the journey before you start.
4. How far in advance do you book appointments? I will book one month in advance.
5. How do I care for my locks after they are installed? During your time in the chair, we'll talk about all sorts of ways to care for your scalp and new or existing locks. I highly
recommend that you return 2 months after your dreads are installed. Then it's up to you how often you would like to
come in and get help with maintenance or work on them yourself. Some people like to come in once a month and others
twice a year. The more love you give them, the more they'll give you in return.
6. How can I prep my hair before our appointment? All you need for start-up is to wash your hair with shampoo, but don't condition it.
7. Do I need to book a consultation first? YES, If you're planning on getting extensions please book a free consultation.
8. How long will my appointment take? Shorter hair = less time. Longer hair = more time. Thin hair = less time. Thicker hair = more time. Dread start-ups generally take 5 - 9 hours. Yeah. It's a lot of work to get locks that look this sweet from the get-go. Longer appointments can be booked in more than one sitting. Maintenance sessions range from about 1.5 hours to 6. It totally depends on what shape your hair is in, how much hair you have and how dreamy you want it to look when it's done. If you keep up on the maintenance, it doesn't take
too long. And think of all the hours you've saved every morning with your get-up-and-go style. The best estimate I can give you is once I get my hands in there and start doing a few dreads. Then I know how well your hair takes to the dreading
process.
9. What products do you use? I like to keep it as natural as possible.
10. What method do you use to make dreads? I use a lot of methods, depending on your hair type. I mostly use the crochet hook method. But I can do back
combing, twist and rip, and latch hooking. Price Guide:
This price list is just a guide. Your hair is as unique as you and your style there for prices will vary a lot depending on what you
want done. All prices are based on having a whole head of dreads created or maintained. if you only wanted half a head or less
the price will be adjusted accordingly.This list is not exhaustive, if you cant find a price for what you want then please contact me. Maintenance:
Root to Tip Tidy Up ( 10") - $ 60.00
* Root to Tip Tidy Up is only for dreads that have been maintained in the 6 months and no long than 10", longer prices vary. Root Tidy Up - $ 30.00
* Root Tidy Up is only for maintained dreads and you have new growth you want tightened. Nice and Tight Tidy Up - $ 80.00
* Nice and Tight Tidy Up will need to be done if you have new dreads that haven't been tightened properly yet. Or your dreads
love each other so much they have decided to join together. Or if you have thick hair, or if you havent had anything done to your
dreads in longer than a year. Or if your dreads have started to break off and need re-attaching. Natural Dreads:
Short (above the shoulders) - $ 80.00
Medium (shoulder length) - $ 100.00
Long (mid back) - $ 120.00
Very Long - $ 150.00
* Natural dreads are not tight dreads. For the natural look, we are just helping the start to become natural locking dreads. If your just wanting to try dreads out for the summer or for an event and still want to comb them out, natural dreads are the way to go. Permanent Dreads:
