Kinected Bodywork & Wellness
Licensed Massage Therapist in Birmingham, Alabama. License #6531. Owner: Jackson Germek
If Tom Brady said it, I think you should listen! This is just one example of many athletes who use bodywork to optimize performance, or longevity in general. But you don’t have to be an “athlete” to take good care of your body, everyone should. You only get one—and if you treat it well, it will treat you well! And like Tom said, it’s an INVESTMENT, and it will pay off.

Thank you to Mount Laurel Elementary for giving me this opportunity to come give these very deserving teachers a quick 10-minute chair massage for Teacher Appreciation Week! I couldn’t have asked for a better environment, and everyone was so cordial. I look forward to being back again!

Kinected Bodywork & Wellness🔵⛓️💥🟢

Why “Kinected”?🤔
I wanted to convey the message that the whole body is connected. Instead of simply naming the business “connected”—adding the prefix “kine” which translates to “movement” ties perfectly into the field of Bodywork. The “Kinetic Chain” is a concept used in human biomechanics—which refers to the interconnected system of joints, muscles, and nerves that work together to create movement. When one part of the body moves, it affects other parts of the body in a chain reaction. The main 5 links of the kinetic chain, from bottom to top, include the feet/ankles, knees, hips/pelvis, shoulders, and head/neck. When these links are correctly interacting together, movement is free and easy. When just one of these links is dysfunctional—it affects the rest of the links, resulting in sub-optimal movement eventually leading to pain or injury due to extra stress placed on joints from compensatory patterns.
-
And while my main focus is on bodywork, to be “connected” has many different meanings—whether it’s physically, mentally, socially, etc. All of these dimensions contribute to the health and wellness of someone and are equally important. I want my clients to feel “Kinected” in all dimensions of life!
