Bishop Care Center

For the sake of patients who are suffering helplessly under the “care” of your nurses Jonathan and Linda you should make an effort to monitor their behavior with hidden cameras or admitting someone who is “under cover”. To turn a blind eye after being warned exposes you to severe liability.
Thank you to the Bishop Care Center for all your hard work. Being able to drive by and see our loved ones today, especially “Mom’s” on this beautiful Mother’s Day was so heart warming. Thanks again! You all at BCC -are a true blessing!😇👏🏻💝
Wow! The callousness of administrators who seriously believe a 67 y/o recovering from major surgery understands the Medicare Appeal process!

Your comments ring HOLLOW.

You KNOW BETTER. Instead of working WITH clients your work for PROFIT. Don't dare waste the time HELPING the person. Just kick them to the curb. Easy money is gone, so move on to the next victim for the fleecing, huh?

Would you treat YOUR MOTHER like this?

Based on this case, PROBABLY sadly. Treat the elderly like YOUR OWN FAMILY. Maybe then you will gain your soul back.

Shame on you all. Shame. You KNOW seniors need HELP and ASSISTANCE.

It's easy to get stuck in the habit of reflecting on what's going wrong and requires intentionality to see and focus on what's going right. Richard Carlson, author of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff series, writes:
"While I'm first to admit that there are times when a long complaining session feels really good--or when sharing about the difficult events of the day is necessary and cleansing--this is a very seductive and dangerous habit to get into, if you take it too far. It's easy for this type of daily review to become a way of life and to become a primary focus of conversation . . . try to avoid making the negative events of your day the primary topic of your evening [or any] conversation. When you nip this habit in the bud, you'll become aware of far more of what's good in life, and this joy will spread to your relationships. you'll end up being a lot more interesting . . . and so much more fun to be around."

If anyone is looking for a introduction to a great healthcare career, Bishop Care Center is now accepting applications for a 10-week CNA course slated to begin this Spring.

One week in, how are your resolutions?
Perhaps some encouragement from sages of the ages:
“That which we obtain too easily, we esteem lightly.”
Thomas Paine
“I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor.”
Henry David Thoreau
“It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great.” -Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks), A League of their Own

More Dumbledore wisdom,
"Just like your mother, you're unfailingly kind. A trait people never fail to undervalue, I'm afraid." - Dumbledore to Harry, Half blood Prince Harry Potter 6

Having lived in several areas of California, kindness and neighborliness is a noteworthy trait of Bishop, CA residents and Bishop Care Center team members. Thank you!

Watched Harry Potter #5 recently. A good cause can inspire and motivate in tough times.
Harry: I've been thinking about something Dumbledore said to me.
Hermione: What's that?
Harry: That even though we got a fight ahead of us, we've got one thing that Voldemort doesn't have.
Ron: Yeah?
Harry: Something worth fighting for.
Bishop Care Center
-Enriching lives-

At its roots Bishop Care Center exists to enrich lives - of its team members, its residents, their families and our community. Social media is one tool we can use to promote this Vision and so you may see a thought from time to time in 2018. Here’s one now -
“If you are unable to laugh at yourself, you’re in for a long, bumpy ride . . . If you look at the happiest and most loving relationships, you’ll almost always notice that both people have an ability to laugh at themselves.” -Richard Carlson
When have you been able to not take yourself too seriously and laugh instead?

Photos from Bishop Care Center's post 12/26/2017

There’s strength and power in knowing ancestry. Individuals and families have histories as do companies.
Part of Bishop Care Center’s history is a company built on the principle of regarding people as people and not as objects, relational not transactional. To the extent we do this we succeed incredibly in enriching lives - first of our team members, then patients, their families and our community.
These books detail this philosophy.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to a wonderful staff and residents! We applaud your heroics everyday. May you find joy and peace now and throughout 2018.
