Just a great example of the power of dedication, perseverance and hard work on the part of this chronic lower back patient. She "gave her life back" to herself with focused core exercise and specific postural/ body mechanics training, combined with the hands on manual therapy work I did with her. She happily agreed with me sharing the texts she sent me last week.

"Hi Mike, I just wanted to give you a quick update and to thank you thank you thank you for giving me my life back! I just went for a gentle trail run at Folsom Lake and it felt AMAZING! Well more of a jog walk but still it was nice to be able to do what I wanted and not have to worry how far it would set me back. I can go to theme parks all day and have no back pain with all of the standing and waiting using your posture tips. I still have some aches and pains but I'm able to reset with your exercises and stretches and I'm so thankful for that. Thank you!!"

One of my favorite places to play in the outdoors. Cardinal Village Resort and the nearby, deserted Cardinal Mine, which shut down in the 1930's. The mine is an easy hike from the resort. The trailhead to seemingly unlimited, pristine back country is just a mile further. This place is 20 minutes west of Bishop, CA (off of hwy 395) and is situated at 8,500 feet. Every visit is too short!

Sylvia Lake in Desolation Wilderness with my sidekick. Summer, 2015. Pretty easy 5 miles each way. Bringing kids overnight next time, if the snow melts before Halloween.....

Flat feet? Try this technique on tying your shoes differently. Watch the difference on whether the knee "dives inward" or stays stable during a single leg squat movement.
