Blossom & The Bee Tea Co.
Handcrafted and homegrown floral and herbal blends. Grown lovingly and organically on our small off-grid farm in the heart of the Hoosier National Forest, IN.
Did you know you can drink peony petals? š
Our signature āPetal Mintā blend is inspired by the vibrancy of Spring and we canāt help but fawn over the POP of color these peony petals bring!
In addition to Peony, this week weāve been harvesting & drying Peppermint, Nettle, and Lemon Balm to re-stock and blend many of our staple blends. The work of growing never stops, and while it is truly a labor of love, itās oh so worth it for the extra flavorful and powerfully nutritional brews you get with each cup. š«ā£ļø
Our mindfully grown herbal tea is available online or at our local partners:
Weāre loving the Spring season but weāre tired of the constant seasonal allergy sniffles! This is our go-to herbal infusion for seasonal allergy support.
Stinging nettle is a powerhouse plant and a staple in many of our blends. Itās packed with natural anti-histamines, can help reduce inflammation & reduce congestion. Elderflower is a wonderful immune supporting botanical, and combined with oat straw for extra minerals & grounding nourishment!
Swirl in some honey! We love using local, raw wildflower honey to add some additional allergy relief support.

A Midwestern-grown cup of white tea! Can you believe it? This is what tea enthusiasts get up to in their downtime: By diving deeper into our appreciation & understanding of tea leaves (aka the Camellia sinensis plant). šµ Although we can't grow Camellia sinensis plant without the help of our greenhouses here in the Midwest, we loved the whole process of crafting this tea from leaf-to-cup; and indulging in the light, sweet and floral flavors this special cup of tea brings.

Every now and again we make custom herbal tea blends, and this one was an extra special one. š« The talented, Nina of ās, new book āWorry Medicineā is out now! Filled with such beautiful illustrations and the most thoughtful words. Our worry medicine tea blend was made to complement this lovely book & to help ground ourselves in this sometimes overwhelming world.
Tulsi, Mint, Ginger, Oat Straw, Peony petals & Lemon Verbena combine for a soothing, balancing and relaxing blend. šµ We hope you grab a copy of this beautiful book while enjoying a cup of soothing tea! Hello tea lovers! š«
Weāre deep into a lush and abundant summer and while weāve been busy behind the scenes harvesting, drying, and blending all kinds of wonderful plants, we thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves.
Iām Ash š Born and raised in the UK, I transplanted to Bloomington, IN in late 2019. Iāve been farming with the Earth in mind for nearly 6 years and working with tea for over 9.
My tea journey began in childhood, captivated by Chinese & British tea culture. From a young age, I learned to appreciate oolongs, pu-erh, green teas & more. You could say itās in my blood! I come from two of the worldās richest tea traditions: China and England.
I got my start in the industry at LEAF, a tea shop in Liverpool, UK, where I learned to blend and serve teas, tisanes, and beyond. After making my way to the U.S. via Costa Rica (ask me about that story sometime!), I landed in Bloomington with a deep passion to reconnect with the Earth and root myself in my love for tea.
And so āBlossom & The Bee Teaā was born: an ode to natureās love story and the beautiful interdependence of flower and pollinator. We offer teas that nourish mind, body, and spirit. Every sip is a connection to this land, honoring the plants that sustain us.
Itās been six years of tending to these powerful medicinal herbs, and itās been a true honor to share them with you. Thank you for being here, and for supporting small farmers like us š«¶

Who else is overjoyed that it is finally Spring? Celebrate with me by making this Spring herbal tea using things from our garden. Magnolia petals have such a deliciously strong ginger flavor and when steeped as a tea it makes for a light, gingery infusion with hints of floral. Just delicious!
Weāre making it hot, but you can let it cool in the fridge & enjoy it cold as well. And even pair with honey if you want some sweetness. Will you try this? šø
