This post is not to spark arguments, controversies or debates. Lindsay Clancy’s trial is all over social media and people are talking, A LOT. Regardless of your opinion, one thing stands true: maternal postpartum mental health is not helped/talked about enough. As someone who struggled BAD with perinatal/postpartum depression, anxiety, (and maybe other things), I know first hand the mental load that comes along with it. So the tragedy of the Clancy family got me thinking, “what can I do to help postpartum mothers, even if it’s something minor?” My answer: the gift of self care✨
With that being said, I’m going to pick 1 (maybe more) mothers who are in need of some me-time to fill their own cup. I don’t care if you’re 1 day postpartum or 3 years postpartum. “Postpartum” truly never ends. So, nominate yourself or nominate a mom you know to receive a facial treatment of their choice, from yours truly. If I can help even in a tiny capacity, I’m going to. And I’m sending so much love to mothers who are goin’ through it. 🩷
