Curious about the healing process after surgery? Our very own fabulous shared her experience with her upper eyelid lift (aka upper blepharoplasty)!

Patients can expect bruising and swelling around their eyes right after the procedure that lasts a few days. Your stitches will be removed at your first follow up appointment (usually about 5-7 days after surgery). It takes about 2-3 weeks for your eyelids to heal and for your swelling to more fully resolve, revealing a brighter and more lifted you!

Wear sunscreen! It should be part of your routine, just as important as your foundation.

Go to your dermatologist. Schedule a quick annual skin check. Small lesions are easier to be completely removed with minimal scarring.

Sarah had a lower eyelid BCC (basal cell carcinoma) removed through MOHs surgery, and Dr. Hsu performed her reconstruction.

Stay healthy. Limit your sun exposure and always, ALWAYS wear your sunscreen and a hat! Let's enjoy the sun safely!
