📢 PEDICURE ANNOUNCEMENT & FRIENDLY REMINDER

I wanted to make a quick post to clarify something regarding pedicure services. This is not directed toward anyone specifically, but it has been brought up more frequently lately with myself and the other nail techs I work alongside.

As a licensed nail technician, I am required to follow the regulations set by the Virginia DPOR and the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology. Under my scope of practice, I cannot cut, shave, or trim calluses from the feet using blades or other sharp-edged tools.

During your pedicure, I do use a scrub containing a callus softener and can gently work on rough areas with a pumice stone. However, that is as far as I am legally permitted to go when it comes to callus removal.

Callused skin is still living tissue, and using a blade or sharp instrument to cut or shave it goes beyond what I am licensed to perform. The same type of restriction applies to cutting living skin around the nail area, including certain cuticle-removal practices.

I completely understand that this can be confusing or frustrating, especially because you may have received these services from other nail technicians in the past. However, what another technician chooses to do does not change what I am legally allowed to do under my license.

I truly love what I do, and I have worked hard for my license and my career. I will never risk my license—or a client’s safety—to provide a service that falls outside of my permitted scope of practice.

My goal will always be to give you the best pedicure I can while keeping your health, safety, and my professional licensing requirements a priority. 🤍

Thank you so much for understanding and respecting the boundaries of my license! 🫶🏼

✨💅🏼 OKAY YALL, I WANNA DO SOMETHING FUNNNN!! 💅🏼✨

My very first month in a salon, I had 57 clients 🤯 Sooo I wanna see if we can hit 57 AGAIN in September! Since we are coming up on a year of me being in a shop😱

🎯 THE GOAL: 57 CLIENTS IN SEPTEMBER

If we hit 57, EVERYONE who books an appointment during September will be entered into a drawing and ONE lucky client will win…

🤯 A HALF YEAR OF NAILS FOR FREE!!! 🤯
That’s 13 FREE SETS! 💅🏼✨

And don’t worry—if we don’t quite make it to 57, I’ll still do a drawing and one person will win a $25 gift certificate to use toward ANY service of their choice! 🫶🏼

I also opened up a few evening AND Saturday appointments during September to help out my clients who can’t make morning appointments! 🥰 So if my normal hours usually don’t work for you, make sure you check the schedule because there are a few extra options this month!

Soooo tell your mama, tell your bestie, tell your sister, tell EVERYBODY 😂📣 Let’s pack September out, hit that 57-client goal, and give somebody HALF A YEAR OF FREE NAILS!!
