I'm sure by now a lot of you have read or heard about the shooting that took place outside of my house and how it has affected me. If you're unfamiliar with this story I'll give you a recap here: 2 weeks ago there was a gunfight that took place right outside of my home between the BPD and a man with an AK-47, where I park my car. I'm lucky to have been physically safe through the shooting itself but I'm now suffering from PTSD. In addition to the trauma of the incident the next.morning I was notified my my beloved Jeep was shot multiple times by the gunman and the police department hitting one of my tires and the engine. As a resullt my Jeep is no longer operable and the expense to rebuild the engine to repair the bullet damage and get new tires, is far too much for me to afford on my own. Unfortunately at this time I only have liability coverage on my vehicle and so my insurance company has been no help at all
I'm currently at the mercy of the city and their insurance company and I'm waiting for a8 settlement that they deem appropriate. My vehicle is worth a lot more to me than I expect to get as it will be totalled by the insurance company, the City sent an inspector today who told me that it would be more to repair the damages than the vehicle is worth.

In the dsys following the shooting some friends suggested a GoFundMe and one of my dear friends was generous enough with their time to host this GoFundMe campaign
