Also tried gingham for the first time on this set. The key is thinning the polish slightly with top coat so the layers overlap cleanly without getting heavy.

Benito Bowl nails 🇵🇷🌺🐸 just in time for the Super Bowl party. Hand-drawn art inspired by his album covers, the national flower of PR, Flor de Maga, the Puerto Rican flag, and El Sapo Concho.

What made this set special was learning about Puerto Rican history while sitting with lyrics, listening to podcasts to pick out elements to replicate and why his work resonates so deeply with the Latino community and Puerto Rico specifically.

Nails can be fun, but they are also my canvas for culture, storytelling, and in this case, reggaetón vibes on fingertips.
